Body Mount Chop Question

    I’m between welders at the moment. Looking to hold out until we are in our new home.

    Are there any concerns with me doing the cab mount chop now and welding on the plate at a later day? I do not want to pay someone $300+ to do something I can handle.

    FWIW I don’t do any serious off-roading. Mainly hunting on the ranch. Thanks

    I’ve seen people chop now and weld later on this site. Can’t comment as I welded mine right away.

    I don't think there's an issue with welding it later. Pretty sure @joonbug left his off for a bit. And, from what I've heard, a lot of Tacomas never bother welding in the plate. I think you're fine waiting.
