How often do you have your furnace inspected?

Nice choice on the 5” carbon filter.
Those ones actually work versus the 1” or 2” carbon “flavored” filters.

Just an FYI to everyone, the deeper the filter the better the filtration and airflow with less pressure drop.
This makes for quieter airflow throughout the house.
That and having enough return air to begin with.

 

I would say that most just check to see if the furnace lights and then they call it good. I once worked for a company that said that I was spending too much time doing my spring and fall checks. Well.... fuk them. I hate liars and thieves.

I don't mind people looking over my shoulder as long as they don't talk about work I like it when kids come down and are interested. I also really love it when they let their dogs out and it takes me 30 more minutes to do a job because the dog wants to play - (sometimes it's nice when you don't work hourly / sometimes it sucks)

 

I was getting my ClimateMaster Geothermal checked out twice a year, but that is because it was breaking twice a year. It was a unit still under warranty so I called the company and they replaced the whole thing (probably cheaper in the long run for them...i don't think they make bad stuff...i just got a lemon). Haven't had an issue or preventative maintenance (other than me doing filters and looking around) since.
