I just bought a set of N-Fab polished stainless steel nerf bars for my truck because they were on Amazon for $238, the regular price almost $700. The problem is that after install, they look like trash on my truck, which I knew was a strong possibility. Any thoughts on the best way that is reasonably cost-effective to make them black?

Rhino liner or any other spray on bedliner material. Could also powdercoat.

^^^As noted above maybe shoot some bedliner on it.

hit it with rustoleum semi glossy automotive paint. might have to sand/scuff it first.
still a good deal if you make it work for you with minimum investment imo.

Great deal. As already mentioned you have some reasonably inexpensive options you can do:thumbsup:

I didn't even think about bed-liner, I think that's what I'm going to look into first. Thanks so much for the advice.

Scuff em up good, degrease them, spray a couple coats of rustoleum etching primer and then a few coats of rustoleum bedliner spray. I did my bedrack, sliders, and the hoops I added to my bumper. Matches the powder coat on the westin bumper pretty good and looks good on the sliders and rack. Just buy one more can than you think you need because sometimes they fuck up and start spitting all weird haha
