If it’s the needle bearing issue then yes. I actually have the vibes in both 2x4 and in 4x4.

    ugh...

    A difference one year makes.

    2002 vs. 2003

Looks like Toy did away with the side bed trim under the gas fill door. This ones been for sale for a while. Must be problemos.

That’s a bit more detailed than the one I found, but I still can’t find the needle bearing.

I think I’ve found Timken replacement needle bearing, axle seals, and the an OEM roller bearing for the one side for around $100.

I had just found that. Thanks!

for future reference, what site do you use for parts lookup? That one is miles better than the translating and google searching I’ve had to do.

I just remembered I have a couple needle bearings from my Tacoma. I’ll have to see if they are the same.

    Its a two part process:

    1) I enter my VIN at ToyotaPartsDeal and search for my part either on the search bar or their provided menu. They have crappy diagrams, but nice parts # search.

    Then,

    2) I take said part number from above and enter it at my local stealership site (or any Toy stealer near you) and pull the better diagram from them. Crappy parts search, but great diagrams.

Ecgs bushing is what I did on my tacos. Tundra will be getting the same.

Well i ordered my full 4 piece Skid Row skid plate set today.

I couldn't find anyone here or on TW in the entire state of Texas who wanted to go in with me on the Coastal Off-Road deal where you buy 2 items and get 15% off. I wish I'd have waited to buy my front bumper lol

It’s freaking spendy though. I can’t imagine another needle bearing is going to last short enough to matter on a truck with 200k in it though right?

I liked taking pix of my 06 limited next to my buddy's 01 limited for comparisons. But he moved to Portland.

I'm not sure I'm going to spend any more right now but I keep looking at the Coastal Front & Rear bumper with that 15% as well as 4.88 gears. I want it ALL but just dropped $1,200 on Christmas stuff tonight and $1,940 on the Tundra within the last 5 days so0o I think I might want to hold off on any more until at least next month :)

Yep. Plus shipping. That’s spendy compared to $25 for a needle bearing.

Just ordered Eibach pro-trucks from wheelers. I was going to go with 6112/5260s, but the sticker shock got to me, and I don’t do much off-roading.

5100’s came in today, got them on Amazon for $180 shipped. Really looking forward to how these ride, I had spacers on my ‘13 and a twin I-beam on my ‘97 Ford that would rattle your teeth out. So! Really hoping these are a nice upgrade.

Also, scored 285/70/17 KO2’s on Black Friday for $760 OTD :bananadance:

Yes, indeed the drawings are far better following your 2-step. Still I was unable to find the part I am in need of to complete my timing belt install. I would ask you, and anyone who is able to identify this part for me, for an assist...

You have till Monday. Also look at local tundra FB groups or 4runner groups; I’m hopefully going in with a local 4runner guy on Monday.

Needle bearings will wear a lot quicker with lift, that’s the issue

Right, but how soon is quicker? I mean mine is worn out at 238k, but this truck isn’t going to go another 238k, so the needle bearing should be just fine right?

Depends on cv axle angle I’ve replaced some at work 10k after a lift kit was installed, some last a long time.

It’s the same amount of work to put in the bushing vs the needle bearing. The bushing is known to be stronger and a better design for our clams.

Does anyone know what would cause the gap on spark plugs to open up over time? I installed a set of Denso IK20 Iridium plugs ~15,000 miles ago, and in the past month and a half I've been trying to track down the culprit of a really bad stutter/surge/misfire under acceleration. Today I pulled the plugs as a way to eliminate the easy things, and the gap on the plugs was an EASY .060" (Factory spec is .043"). I reset the gap and the issue has resolved. I'm slightly worried though what caused this?!

Step one out of the way. It'll be Christmas time before I install the video source (which will be a mirror).

    Tundra Tailgat Camera.jpg

I want to keep it OEM looking as possible but I'm thinking about installing a "frameless" mirror as the LCD screen is a 7" display compared to the standard 4 1/2"...thoughts?
