Heya guys just ordered a pair of oem king shocks for my 3rd gen. I have a couple questions if anyone is able to help me out it would be appreciated.

-how much threads should be showing to achieve a 2.5-3in lift?
-do I need a diff drop?
-how much preload comes from factory?
    -extended brake lines?
    -bump stops?

    thanks in advance. Happy thanksgiving!

-depends on what spring rate, engine and is it 4wd... and do you have a heavy bumper and winch.

    -not at that height

-depends who you buy them from

    -you’re good on brake lines

    -you’re good on bump stops

from King they come with 7 threads showing. then you adjust for driver lean. That should give you 2 to 2.5" lift.
no on diff, no on brake lines. aftermarket bump stop is always better imo like the wheelers superbumps or durobumps.

also, they will not come fully pressurized. you can still mount them yourself but make sure you take it somewhere to get the N2 filled to 130psi.

130? Guess it depends. All my shocks and bumps are at +/-200.

You should be fine, they come fully pressurized. Occasionally you will get one that’s low or leaked in shipping, it would be noticeable. King is 150 psi fully extended, I run mine at 175 psi..
