Finally beginning the blackout process. Did the 4x4 badge, mirror caps, and cup holder ring on my Platinum. Mirror caps had 6 or 7 coats of Black Plastidip with 2 coats of the Plastidip Clear Coat. Loving the change so far!

Which trim kit is that? It looks like it makes the radio sit at an angle.

Went with a blue LED above “mirror buttons” since I’m gonna be installing blue LED strips in interior...connected it to my parking lights so it comes on automatically when any of my lights come on...I use the power mirrors a lot so it def comes in handy...still can’t believe Toyota didn’t illuminate them...haha

Air lift, black out emblems, wheels, tonneau cover, tires, led lighting, hidden step rail, remote start.
AJT vent cover rings are nice. Led lighting cup holders fun and cheap.

That looks awesome! Did you paint/plasti dip the chrome or were you actually able to remove it? How hard were they to cut open?

Not hard to cut open at all. I sanded and painted the areas where I did not want to see the chrome anymore.

I see the 275/70/18 Ridge grapplers! This is what I'm going to run in the coming month with some Fuel Vectors, how much of a mileage hit did you take? Thoughts on the road noise?

I lost about 1.3 mpg after the tires and front lift. I’m impressed with road noise. The only time I notice a difference is high speeds, windows down. Very happy with the ridge Grapplers so far.

Picked up a Dometic CFX28 and a GoalZero Yeti 400 Lithium to put in the truck for camping and extended road trips/tailgating. Amazon had the fridge for about $140 less than everyone else (it's now $2 cheaper on Amazon than what I paid last week) and REI had a 20% off coupon for any full price item so that was another $120 off the retail price of the Yeti.

From my initial testing it looks like i'll get about 48 hours of running the fridge off the Yeti 400 with 72F outside temp and the fridge set to 39F. In the spring i'll pick up a 100 or 200W solar briefcase to keep it topped up when camping and not running the truck.

Just purchased this 2016 double cab a week ago and today added some 285/70/18 EXO Grapplers as well as 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers. Really stoked on the build so far and tires did great on the ice covered logging roads.
