How bad do these angles look?

I am running the 6112’s on the top setting, installed the diff drop spacers already.

    Very bad.
There should be some space between the fins of the boot.
When the fins of the boot touch each other it means they will wear through each other.

I thought the same thing and I felt like I had saw pictures of other people’s 3 inch lift and it wasn’t nearly as bad. I don’t know what else I can do to try to correct it.

Also I have not had an alignment yet, I dont know how much that plays a factor.

Does the bottom shaft of the shock above the eye make contact with the lower control arm? It looks really close.

It’s close but doesn’t hit. I wasn’t expecting to have any issues as I see this is a super common set up people go with. I thought it was going to hit when we were putting it on cause how close it is but it doesn’t.

Maybe you can ask for stock owners to post their pics of their CV axle angles.

I took pics of mine before hand so I know what stock looked like. More or less if anything I’d like to see other 6112 top setting pics

That angle does seem higher than most 6112’s. Can you snap a pic of the bottom lower perch; its hard to tell from the first picture but it could be on backwards.

will do as soon as I get home. Thanks everyone for the input wasn’t sure if it was normal or not I realize it’s going to change as soon as you start lifting a truck. Just wanted to double check so I’m not shredding boots if there is something I can do to prevent it ahead of time. I still need to find a reputable shop to align it and I’m sure it will settle a little over time as well.

Yours looks extremely angled for being on the top setting. Here is mine at 3rd ring and no diff drop.

Here’s the bet reference pic I could find. Looks like their axle angle is similar to yours but that could also be the angle of the picture. Someone with the 6112 setup would have to chime in.

6112's at 2.5 setting with cb shim

getting an alignment today, I’ve read countless threads and saw your specs to shoot for numerous times, hoping I can get close to them and not piss the tech off by providing them.

I think the lower shock perch is upside down? It lifts you like an inch too far if so

Second thought- why are there 4 position rings?

    Op,

    Did you already align it?

Also have you driven it around?
