So I'm strongly considering trading my 17 Limited for a 20 Platinum or 1794. I've always heard about the Platinum seats having better cushioning but after test driving a 18 I totally see it, my Limited seats feel like a wooden chair the Platinum seats felt like a luxury leather recliner. Are the 1794 seats that "comfy" or is it just the Platinum?

1794 is a platinum with brown leather.

Platinum is nice. I had sr5 with cloth and these have extensions in seat to support legs, heated and cooled seats.

1794 seats are just as comfortable as the Platinum seats but without the funky diamond pattern. Those always reminded me of a 70's pimp car.

I have a 17 platinum and that was literally what my dad said when I came by with it! Lol I love the extra ness of all the stitching but I get its only for certain people. My platinums seats are amazing....switched from a 2013 SR5 and its a world of a difference!

I just traded in my 2016 Limited for a 2019 1794 (I'll post pics of the new one later today in a new thread). The seats in the 1794 are way more comfortable than the Limited. I've never tried a Platinum, but they're probably similar to the 1794.

I bought my 2019 1794 because I wanted the leather in that color but I love the stitching in the Platinum, wish I could have gotten that styling in the 1794

As for the seat, they are exactly the same as far as I could tell

Agreed, if that brown color was available with the platinum stitching/ interior color trim/ and exterior I would be all over that. My first tundra was supposed to be a black limited DC with red rock interior... unfortunately my auto broker messed up and grabbed me a loaded SR5 Blue streak metallic with tan interior that my dad picked up and drove for 2k.... ended up getting a bunch of aftermarket items at cost for that slip up!

LOL I must be a pimp because the quilted leather was one of the main reasons I went with the Platinum.

I guess I be pimpin' too.

Honestly the quilted leather seats were what drew me to it the most. Thought I wanted the TRD Pro but I preferred the look of the Platinum over the Pro. The quilted leather actually reminded me of my Chanel bags. Boujee...I know. I'm a little bit boujee, a little bit tomboy.....and apparently a lil' bit pimp.

If you feel great driving it, doesn't matter what trim it is.

Platinum and 1794 are both Lexus upgraded leather....the 1794 has the suede inserts but that’s the only difference

Yes, and the suede inserts are not perforated. In the Platinum, where the 1794 has the non-perforated suede inserts, the Platinum has more perforated leather. I've noticed because of that the Platinum feels a bit more plush.

How do the Platinum and 1794 compare to the Pro seats?

If you have liked bright shiny objects since a child, get the Platinum. It brings out the pimp in you...

Pro seats suck, stiffer overall, not as adjustable and the leather isn’t Lexus grade plush.... willing to bet the pro is pleather

Thanks that was the comparison I was looking for. I sat in a Pro at the car show last week and they were nice but I didn’t have a platinum or 1794 to compare it to.

I went platinum seats due to the stitching and the Lexus grade leather. Where else can you get this quality for this price range?
