A few months ago I got up under the front end to clean up and cover any surface rust. Had to drop the plate, cleaned it up/ painted it and thought why not ad some flair to it's suspenders. Lol
The hole is for drain plug access...

I believe it's probably custom. Don't think it came with the lift. If you're referring to the red that's what I added

Great. Now somebody’s gonna have to explain to their kids what “fuck you” means when they see your truck. Thanks.

Seeing as it's on the underside of the truck I doubt that will ever happen.

It doesn’t say fuck you. Just the bird, and they will only see it if he rolled his truck, or that kid happens to be changing his oil for him.

Actually the bird that you drew, is done in a way that it’s hard to tell what it is.

That's a bit dramatic. And I can promise you those kids hear far, far worse from their classmates in school. This isn't 1950.

    Christ on a cracker.

Your precious little angels are eventually going to learn the word "fuck" along with it's varied meaning and usages. IMO even if plastered across the tailgate this would be pretty innocuous when compared to modern television and the YouTube videos kids are watching these days. Believe me when I tell you this. My children are well wehaved, polite and receive swift discipline when stepping out of line. I have no doubt that even my 7 year old could make a sailor blush, even if she didn't completely understand what she was really saying yet.

    True story...

My at the time 11 yo daughter talking to her 6 yo brother:

""Why do you say "frickin" so much?

"Because I'm not allowed to say "fuckin!"

Yep, Daddy has a potty mouth....

Raise your kids as though from a barn yard with the pigs and uncouth parents and that's who they will be. They will rarely have same opportunity as their well bred/mannered peers who will disassociate themselves from these uncouth throughout life. Dreams of opportunity fail due to ignorant parents who have life teachings wrong.

Do you have room on that high horse for all of your maturity and civility, or do you toss it off to the side like your lazily slung insult directed at my ability to properly raise my own children?
The joke is on you sir, I am quite proud. Despite having the knowledge of such frightful words, she chooses not to speak them aloud. I said she "could" make a sailor blush, not does so.

In any case my point was that your assertion that some child's life would be irreparably changed by the graphic posted in the OP is laughable and naive. You can't successfully insulate children from the world.

Are you telling me that your children (assuming you have any) don't know curse words?
Also, that wall of text is a mess of run on sentences and poor usage. If you are looking to make certain your children don't miss out on "dreams of opportunity", maybe you should tell them to worry less about being better than the "uncouth" and spend more time on writing and communication skills.

Well, I for one think you did an awesome job on that! And as for the bird, or any word that you want to place on your vehicle, if you have freedom of speech, say what you want, scream it to the heavens. If someone else is offended they are welcomed to try this rather simple option....look away. It’s worked for hundreds of years, and it can work for them too!

But alas, they will never see your art in it’s true form because they cannot tilt their noses down enough to see in front of them let alone far enough to see what is under your truck!

    A couple things:

    1. freedom of speech is against the government, not to say whatever you please in public.

    2. I have no high horse

    3. the artistry is great

    4. my point was that using vulgar language or symbols in public is not respectful of others—they may be forced to explain to their child why a grown man parades an expletive, hangs bull balls, or truck nuts, etc. in public. I’ve explained it in the past by saying the person desires attention.

I’m not naive; I’ve been around the world multiple times and I’ve seen the best and worst of people—I’ve seen children receive plastic reconstructive surgery, I’ve seen adults receive prosthetic limbs, I’ve seen disemboweled enemy crying for life and I’ve seen cowards hide behind women and children while firing on us.

minds will not be changed, nor will actions, on a silly forum page. Fly your skid plate, and your attitudes, proudly. It’ll make identifying those families with whom my kids won’t associate easier.

Many of us have been in places we do not wish to recall, and have seen/done things that have dimmed our very spirit. The horrors of the world are not limited to a few.

With that said, the OP does have the freedom to adorn his vehicle in whatever way he wants. The BRD was likely a simple play on TRD and if someone were to see it, he would have to either:
    1. Run over them (pretty sure they know what he thinks of them at that point)
    2. Somehow jump over them (which would seem pretty funny, and maybe the truck is part bird at that point)

My point is simple, I disagree with the idea that the First Amendment is solely for the purpose of speaking against the government, and feel that it is instead intended to allow freedom of expression.

Finally I have one last comment. To each his own and I wish you all the best.

Can we move on now? This isn't Tacoma World where they argue like middle school girls.

OP, the skidplate looks good. It's defintley custom. If you find out who made it, let us know so we can add it to the armor thread.

See what I get for falling asleep way on Saturday...Well, if we learned anything from this before we all move on it is:
    1. you can do what you want as long as it doesn't infringe on anyone elses rights
    2. Look away if you don't like it
    3. people will get their panties in a bunch over anything without thinking.
As simple as this should've been it got a little out of control, my bad. If anything there was actually some good life stuff in these responses.

I see (and knew ahead) this thread would ‘skid’ out of control.

That byrd reminds me of a Shriek side profile...

BTW, I’m more ‘offended’ by bull balls hanging off the hitch than an obscurely hidden ‘byrdy’ mostly because I’m undersized in that department. Someone. A tissue. Please.

The idea was simply to incorporate "Bird" (nickname) into this. Thanks everyone.
I'll post a pic after installing. Just have to get someone to run me over with my truck..

Good on ya Bird. Glad you’ve a sense of humor.

How did you obtain this nickname, if I may ask?

My older sister used to tell me I looked like a bird when I was young with my hat on backwards. It was always backwards. Friends started using it and it's been there ever since.
    Not a great story...

They know better than to think their above others. There's always someone out there that's better at whatever it might be than yourself. Either cussing or writing, etc. Reason why the word competition exist. They never had the chance around us to enjoy the cussing communication thing like some parents accept their kids to do. So, now they don't cuss along with the uncouth people that make strangers or friends say "shut up" geeze we heard enough! Last of all, they write better than me :). Hence, I can't help them with your advice because your wrong. However, because of your concern, I will work on my poor sentence structure on this informal forum.
