Got the steps installed last night and found some time today for a wash. Took her for a hour long drive with the music cranked to dry everything off, then cleaned the windows and put protectant on the tires and plastic trim. She’s ready for the rain tomorrow.

One of these days I’ll get some time in the mountains and I’ll have some photos from other than the driveway...

Decided to make my own bracket for the battery. Total cost of parts was only 13$ and an hour of time.

Went for a drive in the mountains to show the kids how to wheel in deep snow in style. Active traction control is the only way to go. Made it up to 12,000 feet and found some deep snow drifts to push through above tree line. Perfect day!

Installed my 18+ LED headlights today and wow they are a HUGE improvement! Definitely recommended to anyone who's on the fence about them. Far more light output and a nice color temperature. Also over the past couple weekends installed the rear TRD anti-sway bar, did the GY6.35 HIR reverse light upgrade from TacoWorld (stock bulb on right side for comparison) and all white LED interior lights.

Put a grab handle on my center console organizer. Maybe unnecessary for most, but it makes getting underneath much easier, especially if you have a little weight in the tray. 7C2FD7FB-4850-4E7B-8D60-A086252F2783.jpg

re-installed bumpershellz when I did the BD SAE amber fogs. also put on a new foglight cowl to replace the one I fouled up when trying to install fogs w/o removing shellz. And a new RH parking sensor from when I broke that when I first installed the shellz

then some TVD heritage decals for the grille and the center console usb charger. Which led me to realizing how absolutely shit the interior lights are. Now I can't stop think about spending honestly idiotic amounts of money replacing all interior and rear exterior bulbs with LEDs:spending::annoyed:

Installed a $20 LED kit for all interior/license plate/cargo area lights, man what a difference...first 3 pics are comparison pics, you’ll obviously see the difference...lol...rest of pics are all after install was completed, totally changes the lighting of truck, well worth the $!...pics don’t do it justice, way better in person

crashnburn80 on Tacoma World has a nice write up on it. The bulbs require some tweaking to sit securely in our plugs as they aren't made for the sockets and I broke the first one but they're cheap so it really wasn't a big deal to get an extra. The extra light out put is significant especially to the side which is extremely helpful for seeing the area around the bumper corners. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/gy6-35-hir-921-reverse-light-upgrade-vs-high-power-leds.474996/

That's the same kit I just installed as well, another huge improvement that was cheap and easy!

Jusr took truck out. 8 inch Dirty Deeds sounds sweet. Exactly the sound I was looking for. Nice deep rumble. Brick wall outside subdivision so you can here exhaust reverberate off the wall. Neighbors gonna hate i, lol.

That's cool but seriously how often you do have to adjust your mirrors? I adjust mine maybe once a year if that..

I use my power fold button all the time. Pretty much every time I park in a lot and also pulling in my garage. #platinumlife

The power fold isnt tied into a switched ignition source to fold and unfold with the key from Toyota?

Exactly...that’s why I installed my LED above that area, I always use the “power folding option” on my mirrors just to be safe, don’t trust people to not hit them...haha...#platinumproblems

Nope which sucks. And it's a huge project to rewire it to do that

It was thru https://www.autoanything.com/ when they had their 30% off + free shipping sale on Coverkings. Not sure if it's still on, but I am sure there are a ton of deals going on everywhere.
