I've had nothing but positive experiences with Coopers over the years so I wasn't going to stay from them. But, the Wildpeaks would've been my second choice. Some minor differences... warranty, 60k on the XLT's, 55k on the Wildpeaks. The XLT's have a slightly more aggressive look IMO. One thing that makes a difference to me is the weight. In comparable sizes the Coopers are 6 or 7 pounds lighter per tire. It's probably negligible but our trucks are pretty thirsty and an extra 20+ pounds doesn't help the cause.

My buddy just put these on his 2017. They look awesome. And he loves them. said they are quieter and more comfortable ride then the Michelin HT that came stock.

that says a lot... coming from my Taco with BFG's, this Tundra feels like a caddy. I was looking at XL rated instead of C, D or dreaded E... just to get a better ride and save a little on weight. Do you know if he's running LT's or XL's?

I was seriously looking at these and the ones you bought. I ended up with K02s. The guy made it seem like he couldn’t even order the Cooper’s because they didn’t show up on his computer. And the BFG‘s were what he had available right then and there. I still wish I would’ve stuck to my guns and had him order them. But the BFG‘s do look pretty sweet

Be patient when buying the AT3's, when I bought my 275/70-18's Discount had them for $220 per tire. Cooper was giving a $70 dollar rebate and I caught a $100 off flash sale Discount Tire was having. Brought the price down to the ATP range. My friend bought the ATP's and likes them. Personally I think either tire is a great choice.

Sean, I thought you had it narrowed down to either the AT3 or ATP? Then out of nowhere you get the BFG's. Mechanic who I sometimes take my truck to won't buy anything but BFG.

Yeah I know :angrygirl:haha. I know the right thing to do, what I want until I’m put on the spot. I somehow forget myself. I can help everyone else until it’s my turn. I really don’t know what happens to me LOL. It’s like my mind is blank I want to save money. I am liking the tires so far.

I feel I’m going to wear them out quick. So the 50,000 mile warranty should give me a little something back when it’s time for new ones.

They look good, i'm sure you'll like them. BFG definitely have a rugged looking sidewall. They were high on my list also.

I used to buy Cooper's all the time. Every Spring they would have a sale [big discount]: don't know if they still do. However, once you buy them [they get your email], they send you sale notices.

I have K02s on 20 inch rims. First time ever. They wear great on my truck. They corner well. They spin easy on wet pavement, though. I'm going back to Coopers when they wear out though; I think the Coopers will ride a little nicer. [Coopers seem to balance better. My K02s give me a little wheel shimmy somewhere between 65 and 75, so I drive above or below that.]

Same, but mine is between 55-65. I’m over the BFG. They are ok but wet traction is lacking and snow is just ok.
I’m looking forward to changing. I’ll be throwing Cooper ST MAXX on in the next 6 months or so.

I've gone through the pages, but haven't seen this asked or discussed. Anyone have these on 35s? I am in a similar boat as some doing 6112s in front (top) & 5160s in the rear with a @Coachbuilder1 +3 shackle.

I believe in good socks and good tires. And not running out of coffee, ketchup, or ammo ...

Funny thing about the KO2 shake, I've heard that from a lot of people running them.

I HATE a shimmy in my steering wheel at any speed.:frusty:

Cooper tread only wears for me about 30,000 before I want to change them, but I don't care.:notsure:

Picked up the new kicks today. XLT 285/60R20. Still early but looking forward to putting them to the test with the next CO snowfall!

I’m very interested in these but the comments on being poor in snow is making me nervous. It can get nasty in CO.

I’ve read about how light these are as well but from what I’ve found the 275/70/18 is 57 lbs and the ST MAXX is 61 lbs. That’s not a massive difference IMO.

I”be read some reviews on Cooper’s website and there were a few that mentioned these do well in snow. I too am on the fence now between these and the Falcons.

Which reviews state poor snow performance? Wouldn’t have dropped the dough on them if that were true. Most what I saw said they handled well. But I’ll know more here on Monday ;)

Only the reviews from a member in this thread that lives in Montana. He claims they are flat out poor in the snow. That makes me nervous living in CO. Granted, it’s only one review. I wish there were more snow reviews. I am going Cooper. But, I’m having a hard time deciding on these or the MAXX. I was really interested when @Zero One Actual was making the comment about how light these are but the difference from the MAXX in my size is 4 lbs. That’s not enough to push me away from the MAXX which IMO is a better looking tire, built tougher and from everything I’ve read surprisingly quiet on the road. In fairness he isn't running the same size and he may have seen different weight variances. The only thing the XLT has is the warranty but it sounds like the MAXX wears well and there are plenty of positive snow reviews on them.

And I’ll readily admit that I am on pavement 95 percent of the time but when shit hits the fan here in CO I need to be confident in my tires.

    A bunch
If he needed to go to studded tires to be satisfied then no tire was going to be good enough, whether it was Cooper's, Falken's, or Toyo's. Even proper winter tires like Nokian has are night and day difference compared to studded.
