So, coming home from work last night, my "new to me" 2017 started cutting out when I would hit around 35 mph. I get home, and my brake lights and cargo light would not shut off unless I pulled the power from the battery.

2 WEEKS?!? I am not trying to be overly pessimistic here, but I can't imagine, after all the good I have read in this forum about how well built our tundra's are, that this happens to me (not that I would have ANY luck, if it weren't for bad luck).

    Thank you!

Hate to hear that. Any warning lights? Maybe it went into limp mode but I'd think you would get a check engine light.

Purchased from a Dealership, not a Toyota Dealer, I purchased the warranty as well. The Wife is taking it to the Dealership we purchased it from today, and they will be going over it (regardless that I do not believe they checked it out from the beginning). The lady I purchased it from, seems to think that it is a fuse... I find that hard to believe because, if a fuse was out, wouldn't I lose all the lights that are powered by said fuse?

I would have the local Toyota dealer check it out first, then go to the seller armed with whatever the Toyota dealer discovered.

I climbed in the hood, while it was still light out, and looked as best I could. The blower housing is still solid attached, (I wanted to check this because after the wife's nissan was in for an oil change the idiot didn't connect the blower housing up and her car was cutting out bad), I didn't see any wires that I remember (GREAT idea, even tho we live in town there are a SHIT TON of flippin cats in my neighborhood). This is bad cuz I am a stereo guy, but I couldn't find the Fuse Box (is it under the hood?), AND I noticed that the interior kick panel (on the left foot side) of the drivers seat was loose.

There’s a fuse box on the driver side footwell. It’s hard to see if you haven’t located it before. It’s a skinnier than normal fuse panel.

Fuse box under the hood is next to the battery. In the cabin it is near the kick panel actually above the parking brake. Small and hidden well.

Never know what you're getting when buying used. That's the risk you take for saving money over new. All you can do is PPO and/or buy CPO and hope for the best.

Try lifting the brake pedal with your toe. If the brake lights are staying on, you’ll lose throttle thanks to the brake override programming.

That doesn’t explain the cargo light, but maybe it’s just the normal timer after you close the door?

You will have to almost break your neck and throw out your back to work on the footwell fuse box!

Just did. It was above minimum but not up to the full level. Nope. Didn't do anything. About to do zero point calibration

Probably brake light switch. I would try what @landphil said, it sounds reasonable. Cargo light could be a separate issue. I doubt it is fuse related.

Are you sure it's the cargo light and not the third brake light?

A weak battery will trigger some weird gremlins as well. Take it to your local auto parts store and have the load test the battery.

So, the mechanic at the dealership says, one of my tire sensors went out and it caused a second sensor to go out, thus causing the loss in power and the cargo and brake lights to stay on regardless if the truck is on or not.

Is there any mods to the truck? Is there any indication that the previous owners have had modifications done to the truck and then removed?
Since you didn’t buy the truck new and have no real history on the truck, it’s not really reasonable to blame Toyota. What is happening definitely sucks and I hope you can get it resolved with little loss of your time and money. I would absolutely push back hard and fast on the seller.

Sorry Jay, I don't see how 1 TPMS sensor could cause that chain of events. So, changing 2 tpms sensors resolved the issue?
