Who's got dogs? Post your pup!

Sorry for your loss. Losing a cherished pet is heartbreaking.

Today is Roxy’s 5th birthday, she kept a close eye on her birthday treats.

 

crazy I know . But my wife took a pic of my dog and sent it somewhere and had me a few pairs of socks made.

Had a nail trim and deep wash today so he’s ready for the holiday. Wouldn’t look at me for a pic if I had a cat on my head...

 

Lilly and baliey . Great companions.
Both lived good long lives . Brought joy to all of us and received our devotion.
They both passed a few years ago.

 

It just feels wrong to hit the “Like” button for posts like this. But I am happy you have great memories with Lilly and Baliey. Cheers!

 

They we're great pets . Baliey . American Staffordshire passed peacefully.
Lilly passed laying on floor in our youngest son's doorway waiting like every night. For him to return home. She was mean as hell . But a great with us. And for us.

 

I'd have to say orbit is spoiled!
My son named him after the Houston Astros mascot.
My wife loves catching me and him asleep and taking pics to try and pick on me.
I just let her know orbit lives me like no one else.
Great thing about dogs is there always happy to see you . No matter if you've been gone all day or just a few minutes.

 

The only truly unconditional love that everyone can experience. Nothing and nobody will ever love you like a dog will. Truly some special gifts.

 

I'm off about our dogs . In the fact that the breeder I got orbit from ask about our kennel situation at home.
I told her that we did own one . But it would only a safe place for him to nap if he wanted to go in there. But would not be locked in during the day when we were at work.
My wife trained him to go out to potty . By hanging a bell on a ribbon from door knob. Every time she took him out she rang the bell.
In a day or so he started hitting it with his paw to go outside.
Hasn't messed up inside in a long time .
We leave cartoons on during the day for him. And have a quilt on couch where he sleeps during the day.
He has the run of the house 24/7. He sleeps between the wife and me.
His love is unconditional . And he's treated great for it.
I take him everywhere. Odd looking for an old cowboy looking guy with a little white dog. But I don't care.
He rides the tractor. Side x side , Horse and mower with me. Loves chasing cows . I've taken him inside grocery store . Pharmacy. If I go he goes.

 

You're my kind of dog person. Don't feel odd about the looks. I have a pug, so obviously not staking my masculinity on the breed I take out for a walk. lol

 

I work cows with a buddy of mine . He has 600 acres next to my house.
He has a maltese like orbit that's 13 years old. That dog goes everywhere with my buddy. He goes to work with him at the railroad and sleeps under his desk. My buddy's about 6'-6" and 300 lbs.
We look odd going to town after working cows . Covered in mud . Beat up felt cowboy hats. And two white dogs.
But ive had dogs all my life and never had a breed that's as loyal as Maltese. I've read that they have separation anxiety when you leave them.
As crazy as he goes when I come home I believe it.
I go outside every evening and let him run around pasture chasing cows while I sit on pourch swing and have a beer.

Little man is a star. We are on a long weekend vacation and he’s been getting photos taken of him for Facebook at a brewery and pet stores

 

Lol. We always joke about how many autographs our Taz signed each day when we would take him on vacation. He's turning 15 next month and close to the end of his doggie journey I think. From his younger years...

 

This is my pup Tango. He is 13 months old now and about 60 lbs. First dog we have raised.

If I was a young single man again I would get a Pomeranian for certain. They get all kinds of attention from the fair sex, lol. Much more attention than my 100 lb Burnese. But damn he was a good dog.

 

Rescue dog, we think she’s a mix of golden retriever and German shepherd. Only barks when someone rings the doorbell or there’s a stranger close by — terrific family dog, we really lucked out getting her.
