Switch the display until it shows “Average Gas Mileage” press and hold the display button on the steering wheel until it resets. It took me a few minutes to figure it out.

It doesn’t work like that. All the aftermarket crap is just snake oil when it comes to MPGs. Slow down and/or remove the lift and big tires. You can’t overcome physics or magically add more energy to gasoline.

    Enjoy the truck...

Look at the math, new exhaust min 800.00 tuner min. 800.00 air intake 300.00 plus tax , about 2300.00 now at 3.00 gallon and 14 mpg , thats 10,733 miles . Thats alot of miles. Or you buy a taco that still doesn't do any better than 20 mpg at best. You have price of truck , insurance , and gas for 2 trucks . Not to mention upkeep. Why is everyones concern about mpg , when you buy a TRUCK. It's a TRUCK.

Tune and exhaust? TB spacer? You'd be stepping over a dollar bill to pick up a nickel. You'll never get your ROI with the parameters you're outlining (MPG vs cool exhaust/tune/TB spacer bling).

Come back in 6 months and tell us how you're doing. ( I actually vary between 15 and 16 but I live 25 highway miles from any town, and everybody passes me on the four-lane.)

I’m interested to know myself actually. But I think I got all the crazy out of my system on my ride home from the dealer.

I do a bit of idling and average around 8mpg. Towing my camper it sinks to 6. I always wondered why they haven’t come up with a programmer that turns the tundra down. Most don’t need nearly the hp it’s capable of for around town trips. I’d much rather it be a dog and increase mpg’s
