I’ve searched this forum, but have not yet found a definitive answer.
I’ll be installing 6112s @ 1.9, and 5160s at stock height later this week. Anyone with this setup, did you experience any driver side lean? Will a driver side shim be needed at the 1.9” setting? It’s commonly installed with 6112s at top setting, but I can’t seem out if it will be necessary at 1.9”. Thanks

You’ll need at least one shim on the driver side regardless if you have the 38g fuel tank. 6112s at 1.9 here and I’m within an 1/8” driver/passenger with one shim.

Mine are at 1.9 with one shim on each side. I think I have some lean, but if so not enough to bother me.

Mines at top setting with .5” shim each side. No lean. Add-a-leaf in rear sits even up front and about 1/4” low on drivers back corner and truck has no rake to it.

I have been thinking about the same set up ( 6112's @1.9 for the front, 5160's for the rears). My question is if I didn't do the 5160's in the rear what am I losing vs keeping them stock ?

I've got 6112's @ 1.9 with 1 shim per side and have lean. It's a fact you will have lean unless you shim the driver side. Wishing I wouldn't have shimmed the passenger side or double shimmed the driver. But like others have said it's enough of a PIA that I'm not going back to redo it.

Awesome. Thanks for all the responses everyone. Does Coachbuilder only make a .5” shim?

    2 different shims
.25” shim to give you .5” lift
.5” shim to give you 1” lift

Thanks, do you know which one will compensate for the lean I’ll experience at 1.9”?

Every truck is different. Like I said already, I’m top setting with .5” shim to make 3.5” lift total and I got no lean.

Seems two shims on driver's side and one on passenger side is the way to go. CB website mentions this as do many folks here. I have one on driver's side and still have lean.

What size of shim did you order for your 6112/5160s set up with 1.9 up front and stock height in rear? Looking to do the same. You have any pics yet? Thanks!

My truck only had a 1/4 in lean on the driver side. so i didnt do any extra shim as i would have just transferred the lean to the other side. All that to say, I have 5100's on middle setting.

However, side note just today i found a full set of TRD Pro suspension front and rear (off a 2016 TRD PRO) with only 6000 miles on them for 700 bucks. perfect condition. so Im pretty happy about that. this guy bought the truck and then took them off at 6k to do kings.

As far as I know, Coachbuilder only makes shims that give .5” lift per shim. I used one on the driver side. 1886CAC5-7BBD-400C-BF71-F94DEC4C8F76.jpg

Awesome! I will have to get my set up ordered. I love your truck and set up! You like the suspension and height now that it’s all done?

Thanks! And I absolutely love it. The ride is amazing compared to stock. I am thinking about going with 285s though instead of my 275s. Just need to research if they will fit.

Looks great! Keep us posted. I am wanting to do the suspension setup that you have done but go with 295/70r18s or 305/65r18s on the same wheels.

I recently went to two shims on driver's side and one on the passenger side, but still have a little bit of lean. Not as severe but still there unfortunately.
