Snugtop is including the drop down window for free this month. Some places will give you that $120 credit towards the gas flip up version that allows you to drive with it open. Snugtop also has the Sportsman package for around $80 that reinforces the shell for carrying an RTT. Up to 500lbs static, nice option.

even without the reinforcements, a shell usually has a dynamic weight of 250lbs so a roof rack with RTT is fine. weight is usually 180lbs ish

windoors is a nice touch on those long beds so you don't have to crawl all the way inside just to grab a cold one.

The Sportsmans package is what made me decide to look at Snugtop. I wanted the A.R.E.

I priced mine all out at the dealer, then at the very end asked how much more to add the Yakima bars ( I had already added the rail option), because I want to put a tent on it. He immediately said that their tops aren't recommended to put that kind of weight on them.
I've read of people doing it, but my luck, I would have an issue. I figure I should just go for one that's designed and warrantied to have it.

Same here. With my rack, RTT and an 80lb awning I was gonna be pushing it. Played it safe and went with the Snugtop.
I optioned it with the gas shock flip up window, rack tracks, power remote lock and the sportsman package. Not cheap but its gonna be bitchin.

That's pretty much what I want as well, except for the power lock. Does Snug offer the 12 volt power add on as an option like A.R.E. does? I didn't see it on their website.

I believe they do. One shop I received a quote from was including it for free with the shell purchase.

Does anyone know if my Leer cap on my 2013 Tundra will fit on a 2017 Tundra?

Hoping I don’t need to buy another cap.

    Thank you!

    She back on kids !!
NY weather is on crack n mushrooms at the same time over here, not for the easiest application when adhesion is key but i was just in the nick of time. She held up perfect over the last 2 days. Snow , Rain and the good ol Snain. 100% confirmed DRY !
So my 2x Flexy 100w Renogy MOno's are not coming off any time soon... All seams are Doubled taped over All glued seams. [GorillaTapeALLWeather] Panels were glued on with below water line marine grade glue. Then panels were sealed , all sides , center with more glue. Still have to route cables , etc but my objective of Stealth.. Solid !!!! Aint seeing anything unless u up in the clouds.
Will continue to update as the build goes on.

Do those of you with newer Snugtops ever close the back window and lock yourself inside? I read that each lock type (Pop out T-handle, Pro-lock, or Pro-lock with remote) can be locked from inside. I went and looked at a few of these in person and was surprised there is no handle to pull the lid closed from the inside on the Pro-lock versions. The Pro-lock mechanism looks flimsy and not designed to pull the lid shut every time. Am I missing something? Thanks!

I just installed a pro lock on mine. there is a lever inside you can pull to open the window from inside the bed.

I've seen the lever to open it from the inside, but what doesn't make sense to me is there isn't anything to pull to close the window other than the very flimsy lock mechanism. Why don't they have a handle or something to pull it closed? Am I missing something?

I see what you mean now. yeah no handle. You could probably rig something out of paracord to close the window.

Yeah, as far as I can tell you may be able to order some models with this older style locking mechanism, but any of the newer styles don't have the handle on the inside. I would rather the newer style with the handle. I need to decide if a suction cup makes sense or an RLD design canopy....or a Tesla Cybertruck...haha.
