I've built lots of rock crawlers, jeeps, dodges, a tube buggy, a truggy and a few 4runners. I've built a couple coilover rigs. So I have a good understanding of whats going on in a suspension system.

    I now own a 2019 1794, I want it to ride on 37's so I have some 20X9 Methods on the way, 37X13.50X20 Patagonia's along with 5:29's.
I'm partial to Kings and new rear leaf packs so looking at Deavers.

If you could do it or do it again, how would you ? Why ?

    Thanks

EDIT: Mall Crawler for the most part but I do love rocks and going fast and it doesn't matter to me that its new. I'd gladly romp the snot out of it given the chance. Would not be unlike me to show up at Johnson Valley for KOH and have a ball

Well I'm not interested in building a pre runner though I'm not afraid to cut it at all. If I was going to cut it I'd be running 40's.

Replacing the stock front bumper, higher offset wheels, heimed uppers, +3” lift, and narrower tires will all help tremendously. But you’ll still need a really aggressive CMC.

Or you can go the easy route and just get like a 7” lift.

    Fuck you

    There, I said it.

It's like I don't even know you - 7" lift? Not sure we can be friends anymore.:rofl::rofl:

I can't stay mad at you. I love you.

OK, OP - you sound like just the kind of jackass we love to hang out with. Buy a new truck and crash it through the bushes and rocks and shit. Good stuff. Let's hang out.

What offset are your Methods? That's gonna be the biggest contributing factor in how much trimming you need to do. We ran 37x13.5x18 on our first set of 37s and we were still on stock UCA, so caster was basically factory. Since the rims were 9' wide and +25 offset, we got away with it. If they had been 0 offset, we woulda been fucked and gotten into the fenders and body mount and stuff (we did that later, on purpose with 0 offset beadlocks, but went to adjustable UCAs so we could push away form the body mount some more).

Here is Lisa's truck on 37x13.5 with stock UCA and fenders on a 2/1 level. Yes our Tundra is my wife's and it's her daily. Yes she chose all the shit we've done to it.

    _IMG_7831.jpg
    _IMG_7687.jpg

Trim the front bumper, the stock skid plate, throw away the sway bar, hammer the pinch well flat, trim the body mount aggressively, enjoy.
    IMG_0163.jpg

Yes, this was plated in later. Like a year later._IMG_7796.jpg

Full bump and full lock with no rubbing.Elvis Crop 01.jpg

It did rub on a particularly large jump once, and we did the automatic fender liner delete mod.IMG_1574.jpg

That lead us to the glass fenders since it was going to be close the same price as stock inner fender liners, and we would open the space for more aggressive travel and high offset beadlocks.

Glass fenders before paint, beadlocks and the new suspension

    How she sits now.

I would be worried about re gearing as well as adding a transmission cooler for the added stress.

+25 offset. I found good info searching this site through google, way mo betta results. I have a lot of reading to do.

Gears (5:29's) will be here tomorrow.

I am a fan of big tires with small lifts, thanks for the link.

That offset is the sweet spot - have fun and post pics!

What part of this world do you live in? We have a good handful of big-tire-small-lift guys in the southwest.

Good reads here - man I barely fit my 35s with a CMC on a +20 offset. I will look into +25 wheels next time I need to replace tires because I'm tired of my 20" wheels.

I have a RC 6" lift, added their lift struts which raised it roughly another inch, and coach builder shackles in the rear in addition to the blocks, and I rock 37x13.5 on 18's. Front bumper trimmed, as well as BMC. Still have sway bar installed. Will grab some extra pics tomorrow

Yes offset is everything is what I learned from these guys to fit 37s. Best thing i did so far without the lift lift to make me feel like i am a wannabe dually driver lol.

So in the end I'm going with 3/1 and Kings I think I'll be happy with it. I'll move the front bumper forward and trim it if needed, I'll make the plates for the BM chop. If I need a little more room on the up travel I could always do a 1" body lift. Don't think I'll need it though.
I am thinking about building a relocation bracket for the rear right shock and get it the same as the left. Have to lay under it and look around a bit.

Thanks for all the help and the PM's

Alright so I have a similar question on this. Currently I have a 2.5" level (spacer block, shim, whatever else you call it) on the front to level the truck. I'm currently running black Rhino armory. 18 x 9.5" with a +6 offset. Tires are Fury M/T 33" x 12.5". I want to go to 37's eventually but don't want an 8" lift. Could I still run these without upgrading all of the suspension and just do the BMC? I do plan on replacing the front bumper with the RC heavy duty bumper.

After ordering my rims (17x8.5 with 0 offset) and now they are in route to my house...I've realized a terrible mistake had been made. I wanted to fit 37s with doing a CMC and deleting the front bumper completely...but now it looks like I'll have to settle with 35s. I should have ordered a wheel with +25 offset...damn it!

we run 37s on 0 offset. It just takes a lot of work. I don’t recall if it was all covered in this thread already.

Aggressive BMC, pinch weld flatten, sway bar delete, front bumper trim or replace, skid plate trim or replace, adjustable UCA, glass fenders.

Did you have any issues with full travel in the rear?

    SGU - Speed Glampers Uberfahrt
    Tundras to Sedona
We had a 1” lift, and now almost no lift in the rear. It’s fine articulating cross axle, the tires tuck up into the fender wells.
Only issue we have now is we increased up travel and when we land from a jump or run larger whoops, the tires get just barely into the edge lip of the rear fender. If I rolled it a little bit they would clear. But that’s only when both tires slam all the way up into full bump at the same time.

    tl;dr

if you’re not jumping your truck, you’ll be fine.

Good to know thank you! I won't be jumping anything so I'll probably be fine with my oem finders as well. Today I had to decide if I wanted to accept my 37s or settle for 35s with an unknown ETA.

Imma make those 37s fit. Not looking to replace my diff either. It's not a daily anyways
