    what up im billy i
    hava 2014 crewmax limited 70k miles and i just now decided to do a 3/1 level kit with 285/75/18 toyo AT IIs . i thought id be clear w the 3/1 but thats not the case unfortunatly. fronts rubbing so i gota do some cutting or fabbing in there to get it right i guess... any advice?

    whats bumper shims ? Also consider a new front bumper. I am about to go to 285 75 18 but ill be ok due to my bumper

    also I have same rims with 0 offset

    so i just got the coachbuilder bumper shim kit. comes with no hardware and no directions... if i take these to my local tire shop or big o tires will they even know what i need done... im not doing this myself... or is there anybody here in SF bay area that can do install for me that has already done this? im open to suggestions let me know this has been a nightmare for me im praying this gives me clearance

    I doubt any tire shop will know what to do with the shims, nor would they agree to do the work. Unless you’re tire shop happens to be an off-road shop that frequently does aftermarket installs?
    There’s no hardware included because they just slide in place between the bumper and the frame mounts and are secured by the factory hardware. For what it’s worth, dropping the bumper really isn’t that bad. The worst part is wrestling with the little plastic clips in the wheel well.
    That being said, if you’re not comfortable doing the work, find a good off-road shop or body shop to do the install. Just be prepared to spend a good amount on labor. A majority of shops will likely tell you that they need to disassemble most of the front end to take the bumper off, which isn’t the case...
