Hi and good morning. I own a 2012 5.7 that I purchased about 3 months ago. It seems to be exceptionally cold natured. The oil temp runs up and stays in the high range for about 5 minutes. Probably nothing but I've owned v8's in the past that warmed quicker. Any thoughts on this or is this just pretty typical?

    Not nearly enough room here!
When I was ready to BUY my Tundra, I read a few posts on these and other forums, that mentioned this issue. I haven't noticed anything odd from the gauges my 2010. Both Gauges 'creep-up' like they're supposed to. Mine has 83,000 miles on it.

There is no oil temp gauge. If you mean oil pressure gauge, it’s normal. Truck idles high for a few minutes at start. If you mean coolant temp then I think you have a problem.
