I'll have my Morimoto XB headlights and XB fogs on Wednesday. I will then be on to replacing the tail lights. Will be going LED. Any ideas? Want something that is different than everyone else.

Anything I should stay away from?

Spyder and Winjets are in the dodgy to junk category.

Stay away from Winjets. Do a search, they do look good. Some have issues and others don't. :notsure:

Since I am going to be sequential blinker on the front I am leaning that way for the back. Not locked in. But leaning if any exist.

I just googled it and clicked the images tab. Browsing through there right now. Glad I posted here because one of the ones I like is the winjet. LOL

I would like the Torcia's if it weren't for the flame tips. Too gaudy looking.

First I've seen those. I like the premise, but yeah, those flames are cheesy AF.

I think you and a couple of others have had good luck w/Spyder's. I've tried two sets on two different vehicles and both had issues, so they're on my dodgy list.

I have these, and they have moisture in them. Want to get Recons, just don't want to fork over the coin yet. Spyder headlights SUCK, and their taillights aren't far behind. These taillights are sold as LED, but the reverse light is incandescent. Need to get some LED replacements. Anybody know which LED to get? Thought I'd ask before taking them out.

I installed these lights by akkon on my TRD about a month ago. So far so good!! They look factory which I really like and they don't look overly blacked out!! Nice fit, no moisture. I bought on Amazon however, they are currently unavailable. If you Google the part number you should be able find them 5-ALT-JH-TTU14-OE-RSM.

Why are these so expensive? What proven benefit do they provide beyond lights half as expensive? Thanks!

My coworker bought a set of Winjets had a couple of leds out. He then bought another off brand set from Amazon and he’s not happy with the fit. I ended up finding a set of Recons on eBay for $400 and I couldn’t be happier with fit finish and function. As the previous member said, you get what you pay for.

Winjets are junk IF you don’t open them up and pull all the hot glue they used to adhere the light boards to the housings as well as the little LEDs on the sides. After that, no issues on my end.

I researched after market tail lights for years for my 2014.
They all looked too cheap and space age.

End result was replacing the OEM bulbs in the stock tail lights with LED bulbs, with quality resistors for the turn signals..

    It has worked out perfectly.:D

This is as far as I'd go on tail lights as well. Aftermarket all look cheesy.

I just put on a set of dt moto from ebay, which shipped from the Spyder address after a couple referrals on here when I asked. Pretty easy install and trust me I'm no mechanic.....maybe 15 minutes tops. Seem like decent quality, gaps were tight if not tighter than OEM tail lights....only been on a few days so we'll see how they hold up in the long run. I bought the smoke, and my favorite part is the fact from the side of my truck you don't see a giant red tail light and white reverse marker...blends right into the MGM color. I can post a pic this evening when I get home if you are interested.

yeah I thought about the Matte as well but the running light tube looked really white in the picture so since my truck is MGM I though it would stick out like a sore thumb.
