ok , I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but Im new to Toyota , every truck and car Ive ever owned had the typical bayonette style wiper , whats the deal with the tundra? it appears its a pinch type system that is easy to remove , but then what? does one remove the pinch assembly off the old blades and put on the new ones? I have several new wipers but none have this particular attachment, taking the old wipers off are a breeze , all the youtube videos only show removal and reinstall, I need to know what happens in the middle? please someone give a newby a helping hand here

I just bought true Mama Toyota factory replacements from Roman. Not Sightlines. But the ones that come on the truck when new. Here's what the attachment looks like.

Go get the SightLines. Much better than the ones that come new on your truck.

In 4 weeks my stock Mama Toyota wiper blades will start their 4th year of service. As of right now they do not streak......still. Anyone with SightLines that have gotten that long of clear windshield service?

I use the Toyota blades...have tried many others but they all didn’t work as well, in my opinion of course.

I've never have had any blade last that long over 47 years of owning cars. Depends on location, use and climate. The factory wipers flat out sucked in the winter. The SightLines are a much better quality wiper for my use here in Colorado. Lots of decent blades out there that swap in quite easily too. I like Bosch Icons and Trico's top of the line but seem to always go back to Sightlines and as mentioned are on sale now.

Double check the part number for correct application. It sounds like you have purchased wiper blade refills (just the rubber part), and maybe not even for your truck. Toyota sells blade refills for earlier vehicles, but I suspect the Gen3 blades are not serviceable @Roman. Complete blades are easy to install, but cost more. :(

I got about 4 months out of my Sightlines before they started failing. Sad, considering they're $40/pr.

Nor have I. Stockers usually toast within a year. And then any auto parts store replacement streaking after a calendar year. I still cannot believe that my stockers are still going good and not streaking at 3 years old. I live in the deep south and get plenty of rain, insanely driving rain and cold & gloom with pissy wetness and leaves.

Your stock ones apparently didn't last very long either. I change wiper blades every twelve months. You can get SightLines for $20 pair on sale. I've had good use out of them. We get crazy temp extremes here. Sometimes over 70 degrees in a few hours. Definitely hold up better here than the stockers. Wipers are relatively inexpensive overall. Find some some that work for your zone.

Great question. I bought Michelin's and couldn't get them to work. OEM may be the best way to go.

I just ordered the OEM Sightlines from Cool Springs/Roman and so far so good. I had the original wipers on the truck for almost 3 years.

THOSE are the blades I'm looking for. My Toy dealer sold me Sight Lines, Clipped on, slid end cap on all looked aligned and tight. Pulled and fiddled with it and it didn't come off. Day 2 we got rain and they worked fine, day 3 we get snow, they worked fine. Day 4 this morning, lifted not ripped... up to clear snow off windshield and spagoing! The wiper came off in my hand and the arm slapped the wind shield, awesome. Going back to the dealer and looking for the ONE piece style like what was on there. WTF!
