Shit. I thought for surely that was going to be with a flat bed with some low profile weight.
Those are killer numbers.

 

BFgoodrich 275s,
Airsteam - roughly 4600lbs **
Blue ox tow setup
Locked in 6th gear at 70mph with torque converter locked.
Never left 6th gear for over 100 miles.
Did the grade in 5th.
Drove like a dream. With the new TCU stuff.


FYI for everyone the new transmission settings are not "aggressive" is smooth, and glides you up to speed while keeping engine RPM very low.

You'll see the truck will go from a stop to highway speed quickly without effort and you may never see the engine rpm go above 2000 (depending on your right foot)

I don't think that cable will work, but since you just ordered, you will get a flash kit in the mail.

 

Legitimate question, but no one has really had the most recent one until this morning/today to find out.

@OVTune Is the Throttle Limit Update the same thing that @osidepunker and @papasmurf have been talking about in regard to removing throttle limits in 4WD in 1st and 2nd gear? This is the specific function that I am looking for and want to make sure my tune includes it.

 

Yes it is for 1rst gear limits in 2WD and 4WD, i'm including it by default now.

 

Full disclosure though. With an earlier version of the Flash Manager, I used my Techstream cable to read the registration information that was needed to send to Mat. So you might be able to get ahead of the game by trying it. With that said, you probably won't be able to collect logs, and you surely won't be able to flash a tune with the TS cable. Only the Head Cheese will be able to provide solid answers.

 

those cheepy techstream cables can read the ID, cannot log, and if you dare to flash with they pray to the flashing gods.

Just to confirm, everyone is going to get an update to their files? I'm not one to look for tweaks here and there, and am happy with the gear lock feature, but just wanted clarification as to whether or not I need to request or this is part of a large update.
