If you are looking at other resources You can also get a trail guide book on Amazon that gives descriptions, lengths, and other info of all the different trails. Lots of good info!

April, 2018. Didn't drive Long Canyon when we were last in Moab. Not surprised that something changed on that/any trail. Seems to me that there's something new every time we drive a trail that we have driven before. Biggest changes have been on Gemini Bridges, with the new(ish) pavement stuff. IMHO, the side-by-sides have really changed/ruined many of the trails. Locals are not pleased.

The side by sides sure flew down the road. That section got a bit more trickier for me as it was my first time on the trail.

I see what you mean! Wow! Those "fill' rocks are all new for sure. We found the lower areas of long Canyon to be MUCH rockier than we remembered from previous trips. the side-by-sides force the dirt (fill) off the trails with their speeds and slides, leaving only rocks. It's really a shame.

I heard a rumor that there's a grass roots movement in Moab to actually close many of the trails we know & love due to excessive erosion (caused by side-by sides). That would also be shame.

SxSs are really making a huge negative impact down in Moab. I was there twice in the last month and it is different than years past. So sad to see everything chewed up, rocks exposed, etc...
