The title pretty much says it. After I remote start my Fortin Evo-1 with the mycar module and app, the doors automatically unlock. I can lock them back wth the app, but unless I missed some fine print somewhere, I don't know why this is happening.

    Help?

Does it do the same when started with the remote (key fob) as well or only via the Carlink app?

Still learning ours but I suggest looking for your setting of D2 option !

    D2 Unlock before/Lock after
Sets the UNIT to unlock and disarm before remote start and then relock after it completes the start sequence. It will also relock and rearm 10 seconds after shutdown.
This option is used to disarm the vehicle's OEM Alarm.

It only unlocks automatically when I use the app. I only have the factory fob but with that, they don't unlock until I hit the unlock button.

I'm not sure where I would do such a thing. The mycar app has hardly any preference settings. I haven't even found a way to extend the timer past 15 minutes, even though it starts out at 30, then suddenly drops to 15 after 10 seconds or so.

so does the door unlock then lock or does it stay unlocked. Second the timer for remote start was probably programmed into the Fortin evo for that time limit

When you remote starts it’s supposed to unlock first then relock the doors

What year is your tundra. Do you have a mycar app or the car link app. I’m assuming most of what your saying is due to the fact your module was programmed that way.

It's 19 and I'm using the Mycar app. I got it from tech12volts through the group buy here. I wasnt aware they did any programming on the mycar module. I thought it was just for the fortin. Or maybe the fortin was programmed for 15 minutes and the app has no choice?

I leave my truck locked any time I'm not in it, so when I use the factory fob it's UNLOCK, LOCK, pause a few seconds, then LOCK LOCK LOCK. It starts and it stays locked.

With the app I I dont know what it's doing before the app. I know the truck beeps before it starts but I'll have to check it later. I'll wake the neighbors if I do it this early.

All I know for sure now is that it's not locked after I start it.

There was an issue with the harness on the tech12volts that has been addressed but I’m not sure it was causing just MyCar to unlock...I thought it was both. Anyway, the new harnesses have been fixed but “old” harnesses from what I understand will need a black wire spliced from 2 different connection points to get it to lock after a remote start. I would email tech12volts and tell them when you ordered and they can tell you if that might be it or not.

Thanks. I ordered it in august.

I'll double check it with the fob when I take a break here in a few minutes. Figure I should make sure one more time before I start tossing things out as fact.

Ok I tried it with the fob again and the doors stay locked. I'll get hold of James and see if he can tell me anything.
