Hello, Is there any way to tell when the maintenance light was last reset? As in how many miles till an oil change? I was looking at the oil and it was a little brown for my liking, and I thought it was changed as part of the factory certified plan. That oil looks to me older than 3K miles. Oh and the coolant used to be red. Thought I had a leak and put dye in it in case someone notices. Just rolled over 80K miles. TIA IMG_2184.jpg

It’s easy to reset the maintenance light but I don’t think there’s a way to see when it was reset short of it being hooked up to a computer.

CPO vehicles don’t get the love I thought they did when I bought mine. I just changed out the fluids to *know* it was done.

Yep, that's why I tend to do stuff myself just to make sure it gets done properly

I may just go ahead and get ready to change it to establish a baseline in my head as to how the oil looks at mileage intervals.

Need to check and find that metal housing thingy and the valve. I'll have to find the thread again.

Just curious, you did a radiator flush? I see your overflow tank is yellow green and not pink

Ok Cowboy. You didn't read the OP. It's got dye in it. When I got it, it was constantly dropping so I changed out the fluid with Asian AF and changed a hose cuz I thought it was leaking and put florescent dye in it. It was the old deal of a big air pocket in it. Ain't dumping the new stuff. :D

    Trying not to mod it
Just took this pic. My truck just rolled to 6001 miles when I pulled into work. Manual says to change at 10K, so this is the full 6K miles. Tried to get the lighting to be similar to yours, but my phone and the sun were not cooperating. It looks really dark at the bottom of the pic, but it's not. (And no I'm not overfull. I held it at an angle for the lighting.)

That looks about right for a new engine. I'm wondering if mine is just darker due to it being older. Thanks for the pic. Like a dummy I was concerned with other issues when I first got it and didn't really examine it much. The coolant debacle was on my mind.
