I don't understand what exactly this pertains to or does to the vehicle for the 2004-2006 double cabs.

I checked on kelly blue book for these years also and there doesnt seem to be a way to add this into the pricing either?

Is this something you do yourself or what exactly?

Also, what exactly is added to the Tundras with the TRD edition?

TRD- stock skid plate, TRD shocks, slightly better wheels/tires, graphics.

    Thanks for the response.

I'm fairly ignorant by when it comes to this though.

So, is it possible to get the TRD edition and items added to an already used vehicle?

From the dealer? Perhaps- probably dealer independent ...what plans do U have for the truck? U can get a non-TRD and just swap out the parts with whatever ones you prefer (save $$$) depending on your goal for the truck.

Just so its more capable offroad.

I'd want all of the TRD tires, skid plate, shocks and the 'sticker'? on the back of the bed too. Any idea on pricing?

Depends on your state, 2WD vs 4WD, DC vs CM etc.

I purchased my first new Tundra (2012 DC TRD 4X4) for $38k.

I traded that in, and bought the limited TRD CM 4X4 for $43K.

He's talking first gen used so much cheaper. Kbb.com is your best place for estimate. Craigslist for actual costs.

I had TRD offroad in my tacoma because it added a rear differential locker. This is not the case with the tundra. Besides visual changes it's really just tires, wheels and suspension. Shocks are better and a little stiffer. If your buying used then you may need to upgrade tires and shocks soon anyway so it's prob not worth it.
