As much as I want to give you guys good updates it's not going to be. After the 3 days of IV fluids, steroids, pain meds, and possible diagnosis of Addisons Disease, she still isn't eating on her own, or letting us feed her. Her blood tests came back the same and kidney function not any better

Bringing her home and spending some time with her tonight. So she knows we love her, and so she can spend some time with her brother and sisters. ... There hasn't been a dry eye, or a heart left unbroken looking into her beautiful human eyes. Hoping that tomorrow we make the right decision.

I'm so sorry for you and your family. It's terrible when the best thing we can do for them is let them go.

Lady has passed over the Rainbow bridge tonight. Her red blood cell counts were low (13 to be exact), her kidneys were failing, anemic, and she didn't eat for days. Even after days of Fluid therapy, steroids, pain meds, poking and prodding, she wasn't improving. It is so hard to explain the feeling that we have for our animals, and how much it hurts to let them down. I know those of you that donated understand that this is a completely unexpected expenses, that you don't plan for. Especially for a young dog. I also know that the donations are from animal lovers like us. So I want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the help and support to take care of Lady.

For the one person that thinks that your opinion of us matters, you are incorrect! (on gofundme) To know that you donated only to leave a comment, and kick someone while they are down, you should be embarrassed of the life you live.

To all the rest of you thank you! You have no idea what you mean to us and how much it's appreciated. Lady we love you, you left PawPrints on our hearts and will forever be with us. Till we meet again baby girl, we found you once, we will find you again.

Since Lady's diagnosis we added Pet Insurance to our other dogs in hopes that it will not ever get used. (but we live and learn)

I cannot speak any higher of the type of forum this is, and the amount of amazing people that are on it. I am just blown away with the amount of support, heart felt words, and love we have felt from you all.

    Thank you all so much!

I'm glad you were able to spend time with her at home in her last moments. You have been through quite an ordeal, but just remember that you did everything you could for your sweet baby girl. Our hearts pour out to you during this difficult time. She will be missed.

I am so sorry and 100% understand.

In April we put Borden, our 4 year old Staffordshire down after years of coddling. He had one small kidney so Science diet, then he started limping on his left rear leg, the vet said it was Valley fever (untested) we took him to another vet who said it was a tumor that was malignant so we amputated it (for 3k) after testing showed no cancer elsewhere. He stopped eating in April when we decided we were being selfish keeping him alive and in pain.

It sucks but all I can do (with all my "kids") is remember the good times and that we did all we could.

    Hang in there.

I want you to know, myself and everyone on this forum understands your pain and grief. Knowing this, hopefully you can find some sort of comfort. You did the right thing, you thought of your animal instead of yourself. It's our own selfishness that keeps us hanging on, and to our fur children this can sometimes be unfair. Know that sometimes even though you do everything possible to keep them going, sometimes the kindest and most loving thing you can do for them is to know when to let them go. My heart is with you and your family today.

Agreed on all counts; whoever took the opportunity to donate just to post negative remarks has issues.....I am sorry that some take the opportunity to kick you while you're down. Lift yourself up knowing you did everything in your power to love your pet and give her the best possible chance of an incredible life. So sorry for your loss
