Got this nice USN owned Giga-tronics 8 GHz signal generator in for calibration. Used at the Hawaii PAC Missile Range Facility...

Yep, this has been out a few years. The very first ones had boot up issues right out of the box. Sometimes just a blue screen. This one is one of the "newer" old ones. So far it's passing cal.

No, but the concept definitely applies.

What softened the experience is the fact that my monthly retirement check is bigger than what I got when I was working.

I just think there are seasons in life when we have to graduate and move on.

I used to lift [well, lift, eat, poop, sleep, and then lift again]. Now, I just do pushups and walk on the incline treadmill [or use the rowing machine].

I took a wider grip than you on the bench [because I started out as a bodybuilder, not a powerlifter].

I notice you don't really bridge [your lower legs are relaxed], which means you are stronger than you think. Kind of like doing a pull up with a loose body is a lot harder than stiffening everything up [or like tensing your core when deadlifting makes you stronger].

Actually, I had a really bad habit of doing the same thing ...

However, if I bring my elbows in, squeeze my shoulder blades in, arch and create a tension filled bridge all the way to my feet [flat on the floor], I am MUCH stronger. It creates a more stable base, which made it easier for me to really focus upon the rep; I liked doing REALLY slow negatives because it builds strength quicker than the positive movement [I would try to explode up quickly on the positive movement].

Smart of you not to go down all the way to your chest: sparing those last few inches doesn't hurt your strength and really saves your shoulders over time [many years]. Believe me.:D

    You're a beast, Dude.:muscleflexing:

Here's a decent Rigol 9KHz to 6GHz signal generator in for calibration. +15 dBm to -140 dBm output. Fairly new.
