Universal floor jack skid

Hey guys, does anyone have suggestions on a universal floor jack skid plate? I know DMZ and other companies make a skid plate specific for the Harbor Freight 2-ton racing jack. RB Components makes a trailer mount/skid that may suffice.
I have a 3-ton Craftsman floor jack currently, and looking for skid plate that will work while offroading.

If you find one please share it. I have one for the harbor freight jack and it works great for off road or even on the shoulder of the road.

I think mine is C4Fab for my 3 ton aluminum Harbor Freight. Comes with the skid and a sled style bracket that it locks into in the bed. I remember they had a craftsman one on their site at the time but not sure which model. Might be worth checking out.

 

Be careful using a floor jack with a plate on the road. Normally jacks move on the wheels while you pick up a car, with the sled it cant move so the lateral force can do bad things. My truck started shifting sideways once, another time one end of the jack itself came off the ground.

My set up doesn't have wheels at all.

Something like this shouldn't be hard to make. Pretty simple design but I would move the strap way back.

Thanks for loaning me your jack Monet, it worked fantastically. I'm cheap though. I have a nice Arcan 3 ton aluminum jack with regular wheels. (Those high load off road jack wheels are hard to find) My plan is to make a carbon fiber/kevlar skid with cut out areas for the wheels. I'm hoping to incorporate a carbon fiber mount for the bed too. I'm really looking forward to this project 'cause I think it's gonna be super simple.

Yeah but sounds like he wants to bring the jack along off roading. It's pretty tough keeping a floor jack on wheels in a truck.

I'm actually considering letting my set up go. The main reason I had it was apartment life and that's over now. Just bought a big badass jack.
