These two kits are similar in price and offer the same specs and features. so what is the difference between the two? does either have a any pluses over the other? are their rides comparable?

    + @Toytec Lifts

    thanks :)

It looks like the difference are the shocks. The Ultimate uses Billstein shocks, and the Boss kit is Toytec's brand of shock. I know of a few folks with the Boss kit and they love it. I don't know of any Ultimate users though.

    BOSS kit:

    • The BOSS branded products are Toytec's brand, so what we did was paired up with the engineering team at Eibach to build each shock and valve it specific for each vehicle we offer the product for.
    • The BOSS coilovers offer a threaded shock for ease of ride height adjustments from 1-3'' in the front end.
    • The BOSS coilovers offer a double zinc coated shock body along with a larger 5/8'' thick nitro steel hardened shock shaft for increased durability and corrosion resistance.
    • The BOSS rear shocks (in most cases) will offer more travel when comparing to the competitors shocks, most will be listed as an "extended travel rear shock".
    • BOSS Products offer a 1 year warranty, possibly able to push past the 1 year (case by case)
Ultimate kit is just a standard Bilstein 5100 series front shock with a two piece custom aluminum machined sleeve and adjuster ring to make them a full ride height adjustable coilover system. A good benefit to these is that if and when a shock starts leaking, you are able to source a shock replacement local to you IF you are outside of the 1 year warranty or on a road trip/ wheeling trip.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
