OP-I just got a new Tundra that came with the TRD dual exhaust and have been researching CAI's also.
Im no expert but after reading 100's of threads/replys the consensus is they just aren't worth it. What I've read is that you might even give up some low end torque to pick up few HP in the high RPM range.
Some of the pro's are it does sound better but theres also people who have had a problem with the oiled filters gumming up the MAF. Im going to keep mine stock and put the $400 in other mods.

I'd recommend changing up your exhaust to match the sound you want if you're after the noise. Personally, I feel like you're better off spending that $400 on a bullydog tuner if you're after horsepower gains.

Super surprised that people want me not to spend money. Hope everyone loots at the results after they cast their vote.

It's not so much that, there are just better places to spend money. Whether it's something that's more functional or something to add to the look there's a better way to use $400.

Think that's the problem. My truck is done. Nothing else to do but head and tail lights. Nothing else that really interests me I guess

If you look at your intake now you will see that it is basically a CAI already. Just upgrade the filter to a TRD filter. I am looking at getting the TRD dry filter.

Check the poll results. Who would have thought spending money was over rated
