That's crazy how the ECU just needed a little time to figure out what the hell happened.... Pretty amazing

@OVTune Is the patch you are releasing on Friday the final form of the tune? Or there is more updates to come? When are you going to accept orders again? Thank you!

It wasn't said that there was a release, it was said that he's going to outline what the final patch is to be. Just to clarify...

Is it possible to change the speedometer through the ECU? The truck goes in Monday to change gear ratio. Just looking at my options

    Blog notes:

I think you guys are going to love what we did with the transmission. Honestly our test truck has never ran better. Butter smooth shifts, ZERO gear hanging, and Fully locked on the highway for maximum mpg.

I would love to get this out to you guys I want your opinions on this transmission R&D, as we have tested this latest stuff exclusively on our test truck. You won't find a better transmission tune anywhere

I still need to finish the necessary assembly code for some ECUs, but if you'd like to try this new transmission stuff, PM me your zendesk ticket number, or order number...something to identify you

I am excited to get this! My truck goes in next Monday for new gears and E-Lockers. My concern is the gear differential change since I just read the link shared by Matt (Transmission update in 2.0) with the new developments and the "speed" was mentioned more than once.

This is why I was asking if the speedometer can be calibrated through the ECU with this tune?

I am so damn stoked!!! Just beautiful. I only wish I had this tune 6 years ago.

    3 questions:

    1. Blue unlock zone for the tq converter. Does that mean it won't lock at all in the blue zone?

    2. Map switching. What do we need to do on our end as far as requesting an octane?

    3. Does the final patch build on what you've done to each individual truck so far, or does it replace the entire current program?

    Thank you, Mat

Thank you! I just found this out that it uses the sensors at the wheels and not the tranny. The concern was if the speedo was not accurate (still is not since the tires are 35") how would that effect shifting if it looks at speed and torque. I shall find out next week! Thank you again for the reply, I was basing this on the gear change I did years ago to my LandCruiser and it changed the speedo

One thing I’m not sure I’m fully understanding is the map switching with the T/H button. Does that just allow different octane rated tunes? Currently running a 87 base tune, so I’m not sure that feature is enabled in this tune. Personally I plan to stick with 87 all the time, so could the second map be a 87 octane map optimized for towing? Goal is to keep it simple, so the gear lock in s-mode only I like and if I could have it switch to a tow map with the T/H button great. Basically a greatly enhanced version of how stock functions.

    When will it be available?

is there a date or just as you have each ecu individually?

I’m just antsy & want to drive the truck again. It’s a terrible paper weight

When this tune is released, how do we get this tune? Do we email zen desk or is the tune automatically emailed to us?
Is the new data logger be released also?
    Thank You.

    Bouncing between both right now

When we have it ready for each ECU we will send them incorporated with your current tune

Blue zone is lock and unlock without downshifting needed.

    Nothing at the moment

It is included on top of your current tune if you're custom tuning

Very happy to report ~ 17 mpg on our test truck tested over 350 miles yesterday with a mix of highway and city driving. With the Harrop S/C.
We can squeeze out a little bit more with our lean - base map but honestly it doesn't run as smoothly as it does now. It's smoother than butter on this new transmission and engine calibration.

Now we have a bunch of files to update for everyone.

Very excited Mat! My Sequoia still gets 9-10 no matter what I do, and observing the wideband seems to run extremely rich all the time.

Really hoping, no, PRAYING you're able to push the tune out to us that have unicorn ECUs by the 15th

    Regards

    That's great!

In my case, with the new Harrop going in soon, smoother operation is most important to me, especially that I'm mostly limited to 91 octane. I'm currently getting around 15, sometimes better, with 35" tires and having 4.88s. I'm definitely looking forward to the next upcoming weeks. I also understand that dialing in a custom tune takes time, but it'll be worth it in the long run.

    Can't wait to get this
