I have about 2k miles on this brand and it seems o.k. for now. I got the drilled/slotted rotors with semi-metallic pads.

I like the dual fuel because propane never really goes bad so I don't have to worry about rotating my fuel stock or a gummed up carburetor.

Headers aren't nearly as bad to install as people make them put to be. It's work for sure, but not that bad.

They’re not bad at all honestly... have to take the passenger side one off whenever I do a transmission or starter on a tundra 4.6 or 5.7.

Passenger side is pretty easy on our trucks. Driver side is a bit tricky to get to the center bolts even with the mount out.

They don't look too bad. I guess I'll find out if all that junk I welded on the frame makes it too difficult because my manifold is leaking. Still looks easier than trying to take the exhaust manifold off my old Titan. Unfortunately I'll probably be going with eBay chinesium shorties.

Let's see today I painted a couple of white spots behind my bumper black, added stickers to my tool box, found a carpet on the side of the road while walking my dog, that I cut to fit inside my tool box. I think that's it. Just a bunch of little things ive been putting off. Oh and ordered an Airaid intake tube and drop in filter.

I forgot to mention I went by Walmart today and as I was driving up to the crosswalk a dude did a double take at my approaching Tundra and held his gaze a bit long. Not sure if he was admiring or hating lol

#74. I used this one and put a blob of the wife's black nail polish on the top chip otherwise you get 1 bright spot.

K&n has a similar tube and filter kit that uses the stock air box. They even have an install video and a dyno video claiming 9hp gained on an access cab first gen tundra. The only difference i can see is the k&n kit moved the MAF to the tube and the filter is shaped like a cone but still drops into the stock air box and it's about twice as much as the Airaid kit.

I’ve been looking to see if I can find a used k&n. Or airaid. No luck. I want to run factory filter for now. Don’t like oiled ones.. and factory filters are 10 bucks for me..

I've been doing some research into half-ton trucks in the year 2000. The Tundra is actually rated pretty well in the MPG department compared to the competition. I chose the engine option with output closest to the 4.7L of the tundra. these are all EPA ratings.
    • 2000 Ford F150 - 5.4L v8 - 4spd auto - 12-16MPG rated, 14 comb - 7.1gals/100 miles
    • 2000 Dodge Ram - 5.9L v8 - 4spd auto - 11-17MPG rated, 13comb - 7.7gals/100 miles
    • 2000 chevy 1500 - 5.3L v8 - 4spd auto - 13-16MPG rated, 14comb - 7.1gals/100 miles.
    • 2000 Toyota Tundra - 4.7L v8 - 4spd auto - 13-16MPG rated, 14comb, - 7.1gals/100 miles.

so all in all, our trucks are perfectly average for the day.

The Airaid is dry I believe. I just want to know why the k&n has the MAF move from the top of the box to the front of the tube.
