So it's time for new tires, the OEM Michelins that came on my new 2016 Crewmax 4wd haven't even made it to 40,000 mi. Did I rotate them every 5000 mi. no, but rather every 10,000 mi. My truck is a total pavement princess, but I do tow a 5500-6000lb travel trailer a few times a year and tow my 24ft deck boat back and forth about 5 miles to the launch ramp in the summer. I keep my truck in the garage, so not sure if I could go any bigger on tire size, and I guess I am ok w/that. I would like to try something different w/a more aggressive look at the very least, and so many of you like the BFG KO'2's. If I stayed stock size, what kind of mileage do you think I could get and is the ride similar or am I gonna feel it? Just asking for some real world experience from you fine folks before I drop the coin. And for what it's worth, I do plan on being better w/the rotation schedule, every 5000 mi. for sure this time.

    Alot of them
The KO2 will have a more firm ride. They are gravel magnets too....they pick up everything. If you are looking for a little more aggressive without overkill, the Nitto Terra Grappler G2 is a good tire. I ran those before my Ridge Grapplers.

Honestly, you have tons of options being in California, assuming you don't go off looking for snow. In your area there are the tires in the link below from a member. The tires are a wee bit bigger than stock (IIRC they are 1 inch taller, so it would only increase your ride heigh by half an inch) and it's a really good deal on the tires. If I were in that neck of the woods I would have bought these already.

some good AT tires like Nitto G2, Toyo AT2, Falken At3. K02 are great but yeah they will grab every little rock.

I always get flack for this but Goodyear Wrangler Adventurers AT with Kevlar have treated me very well. Not overly aggressive, great tread life, quiet, and good on ice and in snow. I live in Maine so I need a tire for literally all seasons. 9EF18493-5C7A-41A1-9E01-BB2B8CBCE3E2.jpg733DA2B5-781F-4D98-8E7D-724553196654.jpg

Sure thing. Besides, if you can get a discount from a fellow Tundras.com member, why not? Best of luck!

Ya, I have been reading a lot of reviews. I really don't want anything chipping my paint, but I know there are pros and cons to all to all of then, tx for the feedback.

Ya, I live in Palm Springs, Ca. so we RARELY get anything but sun and heat out here. I know that will factor in somehow. Thanks for the response.

IDK why you'd get flak. Those are a solid looking tire for all season all purpose use. Not all of us want mud paddles. :notsure:
