I second this. And really sorry to hear what happened. Safe family is priority 1, but I understand the other loss is overwhelming. Best of luck.

Holy hell Cory. We are all glad you got out alive. I’ve seen some nasty flooding from rivers in the past.

What part of CO are you heading to?

So sorry for your loss. Truly a blessing you and your family were able to make it out. Did you happen to have a sump pump in your house? That falls under the home and I know when my uncles house was flooded (he didn't have flood insurance) that he used the sump pump "failing" as the reason that the house flooded... at least that's how he got top dollar out of the insurance company. And let us know where a good mailing address is. Would love to send you and your family some goodies with the holidays coming up

Sorry brother! Good luck to you and yours. Unfortunately I am no help with finding a cap either.

The agent told us we’d be covered. Then when we called to claim it, he said we weren’t.

Agree, It would be nice to have a "GoFundMe" account setup for members in situations as this.

Re-read post #9. The OP was lead to believe he DID have flood insurance.
To say it only covers “floods” from fire suppression is laughable. Insurance Slimeball Weasles doing what ISW’s do.

We'll meet and greet once you get situated. I've never been to Vermont but seems nice. You will like CO. Really big mountains and lots of kick ass wheeling trails. Crazy ass forum mods live here too...waiting for @Pinay to relocate....

So sorry to hear this. Glad the family is okay.
What about a Pod? You can fill it and then call them to pick it up whenever and the ship it to your new home.

Sorry for your lost man.. glad everyone made it out ok... Insurance companies are damn assholes.

Edit pardon the language but it's justified in this case.

    Flux capacitor!
I’m so sorry to hear about all your going through. Glad to hear you and your family are ok. If you decide to set up a go fund me please post and I’ll gladly help in any way I can. Did you have any contents coverage? I would ask your agent for a full breakdown on your existing covered to make sure. I hope there is something that changes on the insurance side to help offset this loss.

I've lost everything before ... including my ability to see my children for a time.

Cut your losses, don't be bitter about the insurance company, and move forward.

P.S. When you're in survival mode, you have to be patient, have faith, and watch for your opportunities. TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS. Look forward, not back.

    You can do it.

And let us know how things are going when you can.
