    Do the front door tweets in the sail panels give out decent sound. I did the same thing but the tweeter seems to be very quiet compared to the woofer down below.

    If I open the door and put my ear to it, they sound normal, yes quieter, but lost/blended into the upgraded dash speakers listening from my seat... unless I wired them wrong. Plenty of highs mids in the cabin.

    Same here. If i open the door and put my ear up to the tweeter, there is audio but not anywhere near the level of the midrange. Glad I'm not the only one who has that situation. I thought I had it wired wrong also but there really isn't any other way to wire it. I was just hoping to have a little more volume out of them but oh well. The dash speakers have to be 2ohms? I think I read somewhere that the dash is powered by the head unit and not the amp under the seat. The speakers are 2ohms I believe.

    I just installed mine and had the same issue. The front tweeters are very quiet compared with the back. Glad to see it’s a common theme. Someone mentioned that adding the amp will fix that which I haven’t done yet.

    I threw in the dash tweeters for the hell of it. I figured if I was going to upgrade all the other speakers,amp, and add a sub I might as well git'er done right. It was a great price. I also ordered the sail panels that allow you to add the tweeter in the front doors since I didn't have them factory.

    Dealing with James has been an extreme pleasure! He was calling me from vacation and putting in work to get this to me and answer my questions.

    I am going to sound mat my entire truck like some guys here so it'll be a while before I get to install the system but I'll keep you guys posted.

    Hopefully you figured this out. Took me damn near half an hour to figure it out. It slides on from the back of the tweeter. Line up the three tabs with the indentation on the ring and pretty much stretch that sucker. I though tI would break it but it gave and slid right on. Second one took me around 30 seconds.

    Nooo! I would have been livid. Hope you got it worked out. I put seat heaters in my truck and also had to fix a dash rattle,the first time Intook my dash apart I broke so many. Luckily none thisntime. You have a link for that kit? Is it a factory kit?

    Honestly, worlds better than stock, but they don't reproduce much bass. That's what the sub is for but if it's a song with minimal bass I have to turn down the tweets.

    Also the dash tweets run directly from the head unit so I can't adjust them down which adds to this effect. I ordered a fix 86 and am going to wire the tweet and all speakers through it for more control.

    For the price point this is a phenomenal upgrade and I would do it again. Although after seeing the hole in the front door is for a 6x9 I wouldn't be opposed to upgrading to a bigger speaker in the future for more bass in the doors.

    I think I was out the door for under a thousand for full truck speaker replacement, amp, amp rack, sub, and box with all included wiring.

    I broke off that back of the factory tweeter and plugged it back into the factory plug. Forgot who figured it out but thanks!


    Why did you do this for? I will be installing the backs soon and I do not want to get stuck.

    The new tweeter is ran and wired in parallel with the new mid speaker harness.
