    Hello everyone,

My name is Teresa and I am new here. I’ve always been a Toyota truck lover. I own a 2016 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited edition. It has the TRD off road package.

I have always referred to this forum for troubleshooting issues for my truck. The reason I signed up is because my truck is going through something and I cannot pin point what the problem is.

I posted a new thread on the issue I am having, but not sure if I’m doing this right. But here it is again.

    Issue: Truck decelerates while driving.

Upon starting the vehicle and letting it run on idle, truck is fine. When driving, it decelerates and slows in speed (sort of like I released the gas pedal). I try to step in the gas pedal to pick up speed but nothing happens. In order for me to pick up speed or accelerate, I have to release the gas pedal completely and then step on it again. It is happening more frequent like I have to consistently step the gas, then release, step just to get somewhere.

My vehicle is a 2016 Toyota Tundra CrewMax FlexFuel Limited Edition TRD package. My mileage is about 61000.

Has the issue just started upon your last fill up of fuel or has it been an ongoing issue for awhile?

It just started. I’m about less than a quarter tank now and need to put fuel but afraid to drive it.

First thought is possibly some water in your fuel from your last fill up. I would try filling your tank up just to see if you did possibly get some water in your last fill up.

I'm wondering if your fuel filter is clogged..maybe inspect or replace..

    Welcome from NY.

Put some dry gas in the fuel tank and fill it up with super unleaded gas and burn through that tank, hopefully it will get better than change your fuel filter.
