Put new bilstein 5100s on the front (top setting) to level and added 275/75 R18 KO2s. Since I have noticed a lot of what I'm calling bed bounce. Bumps seem to reverberate from impact to the suspension on the back of the truck. Anyone else have experience with this and know how to fix it? Truck didn't do it stock (at least not noticeably). Messed with the weight in the tires to lessen the impact but no change. It's significant. The truck turned into a tuning fork. Initially leveled and was 7/8" short on the left front. Put shims on the coil-overs and it sits level at all 4 corners. Didn't have the bounce until it was leveled at all 4 corners by the shims (2 x 1/4" plates). Thoughts?

    A bunch
5100's won't change how the bed bounces compared to the front. Mine had the bed bounce from day one, was very noticeable on concrete roads. I much rather have the bed bounce than the entire truck feel each one that much more.
What tires did you change from? K02's being a tougher AT tire will be that much stiffer and have a rougher ride than any of our stock tires.

Changed from the stock minivan tires (Michelins), new ones are 10-ply so expected the ride to change. Didn't expect it to bounce the way it does.

I put a 2/3 kit and tires on my 2017. It stiffened the ride up quite a bit. I also have a 2019 that’s a lease... which is completely stock. The 2019 is noticeably softer on bumps and much nicer to drive to be honest. The 2017 looks a lot better tho - sits about as high as a 3/4 ton GM HD truck. Trade offs I guess.

I have no experience with aftermarket suspension & spacers but I know tires...your LT 10-ply tires are the problem....even when you decrease the PSI, they will still run ruff....my personal opinion: LT tires are good if you trailer something heavy on a daily basis (big enclosed trailer or big camper)....P275/75 R18 KO2 would have been more than adequate...definitively an upgrade to stock tires...

I think it is just coincidence. KO2’s will not absorb the road like the other tires or Maybe your stock shackles seized. They are very prone to do that. Change them to poly bushings and see if it helps or get new shackles all together. They will improve the ride quality.

Swap out the crappy OEM rear leaf bushings. Swap in poly bushings.

The problem isn't so much what they're made of. The problem is they're press fitted. No play at all. That problem combined with the trapezoidal layout of the rear leafs contributes to the excessive bed bounce.

Energy Suspension. Sold by Toytec and 4W Parts. Used them on my 07. Have a new set ready to go on my 14.

I also felt a more choppy bumpy ride with KO2’s. I went back to the shop and had them rebalance and Realign the truck and it rode smooth after that.

I have a 2017 Crewmax 4x4 with 5100s all around. Front on middle setting with 275/70r18 KO2s. I felt like bed bounce decreased compared to stock. It definitely rides stiffer but I like it, was too floaty stock. Weird how the same truck and similar setups react differently.
