I have been putting off taking in my truck in for a rattle that sounds like aluminum tube rattling in a metal hole. It’s not a metal to metal sound and it sounds like it’s on the outside of the firewall. It only happens on the small bumps in the road not expressway bumps at all. There’s a road I drive daily that no matter my speed 35-75 it rattles. It’s gotten to where I turn my radio all the way up, for what that’s worth. lol it’s a 2019 platinum with only 4000 miles but the rattle has been here since 500 and it’s getting worse. Anyone else have an issue of rattles?

If it sounds like it is outside and in front. Check the cheap sheet metal skid plate. Mine had a tinney, hollow sound after first free oil change at dealer. It was loose and a couple of the rubber grommets/bumpers were missing. Only did one more nightmare oil change at the dealership and only do my own maintenance now.

It sounds like an aluminum tube rattling in a metal hole but it’s not a metal to metal sound? That confuses me LOL. Have you done any modifications to the truck whatsoever? I tracked down a rattle on one of our members trucks, it had been going on for quite some time. I took a ride in the truck and later popped the hood, found it to be an aftermarket intake making the rattle. The tube that goes into the fender was not a snug fit. It made all sorts of racket, almost sounded like something in the suspension, but luckily it wasn’t. Since you are under warranty and it seems the noise is pretty prominent, you should just let the dealer check it out. It could be something really simple or something loose in the suspension, even just a bracket In the engine bay.

Yea I know my wife said the same thing, let the dealer deal with chasing it down. I know that sounds weird aluminum tube meaty long inside metal hole it not metal to metal. I mean it almost sounds hollow type rattle.

I was able to track down the noise by sitting passenger seat. Maybe have your wife drive it so you could pay more attention to where it’s coming from. I noticed the noise coming up the passenger side a pillar. It lead me directly to the intake.

I checked my intake and it seemed tight. I’m stock with the exception of TRD exhaust but the rattle was there long before I added that.
