How's this quote I got for Cooper STT Pros?

got a quote 2595 for coopers stt pro and 17 method 701s install and alignment . But they said coopers don’t make a true 35 it’s a 34 and a half. How is this price anyone?

 

My 295/75/18 STT's were 34.5" mounted on FN BFDs

I had set of 295/75/18 ST Maxx's and they were 34"

 

If you are talking the 315/70/17s - that price is way too high. I just looked them up on discount's website and they are $300/tire. That is $1200 for the tires.

So, are you talking just the tires? Or does that price include rims? And when you say "alignment" - do you mean "balancing", or are you talking a real alignment?


Either way - whatever quote you get - take it to discount tire and they will match/beat it.

 

Go in with online pricing for price match. Looks like that tire runs $300 per and wheels $220 per. Assume lugs, alignment and certs probably in the ball park. I got a similar set of Coopers for a grand. Looks like BFG in that size is a better deal right now.

Do you need rim and tires like right now?? If not hold off for a month and buy then on Black Friday. Save some cash!

This is a local shop they don’t really do Black Friday but I asked American tire and it’s like 200 off but then still have to do alignment

 

California were everything costs 40 percent more and you get less

 

I use customoffsets pricing for wheel/tire packages since they ship them mounted/balanced. Then take that quote to your local discount tire and they will beat it even after adding in tax. I have done this with three sets and have no issues. Plus you get free rotations. If you play your cards right and are nice, you can usually get them to throw in the tire certificates for free or half price.

Seriously, or MrWheelDeal. Just print it off and bring it in and they will hook you up. I never believed they would till a friend told me about it.

If you aren't in a hurry either, ask them when they will have their next sale which is probably Thanksgiving. I was looking at a new set in August for my Duramax and decided to wait till September in order to catch their labor day sale. Not only did they match the online price but I also qualified for a 15% mail in rebate on top of what I had already saved. I literally saved almost $900 with price matching and using the mail in rebate.

 

So even with this I still need lug nuts and the alignment so we shall see

 

Discount tire during black friday will probably have those tires at 20% off.

 

Lug nuts are $50 and an alignment done by a good shop is $100 so you are still saving almost $300 plus free tire rotations/maintenance. Also, still may be able to get the tire certificates tossed in as well.

Black Friday is likely to have 20% as Jengel mentioned on top of the price match.

Edit: Also, if you have good credit, you can apply for a DT credit card and get 0% interest for 12 months.

Just wait. I got my tires for 20% off and my wheels for 25% off. it's worth the wait, you'll come out ahead in the long run. Full meal deal at any shop is never a deal. or RARE if it is.
