    A lot guys on here say u have one already which is stock...I myself have the S&B helped a bit with MPGs maybe as much as 2-4 also throttle response also bought extra filter when you clean you have one ready you don't have to wait for one you cleaned to dry

    I run the K/N kit. love it! All are basically going to give you the same result. The HP claims are so far in the RPM range that you'll hardly ever use it. Plus what ever mpg's you possibly may be going for will vanish one that 3ur-fe starts grunting above the 4k rpm mark;)

    I had the K&N for a couple of weeks then sold it, as stated before the only "extra" hp you will get is in the high range which is rarely in use unless you're racing all the time, and if that's the case you bought the wrong . We have one of the best engines and some of best engineers building our engines, I don't think they're gonna throw on . Also I noticed that it bogged my engine, the K&N cai. If you're lookin for power then it's gonna cost, no cheap way around it. Headers, exhaust, gears, and the grand daddy s/c. Although I've seen vids of s/c losing to non s/c with just headers and weight reduction and slicks

    S&B has the best filtration numbers over all of the aftermarket "CAI"s out there. I'll upgrade to S&B at some point. In the meantime my drop in K&N will have to do.

    I had the K&N on my '12 Taco before and it caused my Taco run RICH....I saw too much exhaust soot on the tailpipe. Mine was Super White so my rear quarter panel was nasty after 15k miles or so. I threw it away.

    I've never had any issues with drop in K&N on any vehicle I've owned over the years when properly oiled.

    I didn't even have the chance to re-oil it yet. Perhaps, it came over oiled from the manufacturer?

    2nd that I have the S&B works and looks awesome no way I could go back to stock now I like the sound and mpg improvements I had the K&N in my last truck and never even noticed a difference

    That's certainly possible. You basically want a thin coat that's tacky to the touch. If you see drips....not good.
