    Hi all,

I'm wanting to add a fire extinguisher to my truck, preferably right in front of the driver's seat. I thought a mount like the bracketeer https://www.amazon.com/Bracketeer-Extinguisher-Bracket-Universal-Vehicles/dp/B015G3QXMY would work, but I'd really like to have a 5lb extinguisher rather than a 2.5lb. Does anyone know of a mount that would allow me to put a 5lb unit in front of the driver seat?

Edit: I just noticed that the unit I wanted https://www.amazon.com/Amerex-B386T-Halotron-Class-Extinguisher/dp/B00F5CK8VY says it comes with a vehicle bracket. Does anyone have any experience with Amerex's vehicle brackets?

    Thanks.

    Hope this helps...
bought this pack due to the size of the containers.
Fits nicely in the door cup holder of the Tundra and the glove compartments of my wife's Honda Odyssey and my '69 Camaro.
    No $60 bracket needed.

    Save your money..

It fits right in the back door cupholder.

I’ve had it in my 2nd gen DC and my 3rd gen CM.. fits in both doors just fine with zero movement.

And being out in the open, almost everyone who gets in says “hey a fire extinguisher... I never would have thought to have one, I’m ordering one now”

I would never pay $200 to mount a fire extinguisher. There has to be a more economical way.

    I used a $10 quick fist.

I have a Weatherguard work box, the fire extinguisher fits in the gap right next to the side of the truck. Although for anything other than an out of control cigarette butt, not sure how effective it would be.

I'd like to not spend $200 for a mount either. The extinguisher might cost that much, but the mount shouldn't. I'll probably take a trip to the local hardware store and see if I can find a piece of metal bar that I can bolt to the seat mount points and mount the extinguisher bracket to that.

Here’s my low-buck idea. It’s a piece of ABS plastic pipe that is wire tied to the seat frame. The extinguisher slides in like a holster and I have a thick strip of foam weather strip to keep it snug in the pipe.

Got a link to this exact extinguisher? Want to make sure I get one that fits in the rear door...

I think I still prefer it being mounted in front of the seat rather than under. Being under the seat, you probably can't access it without opening the door. Yes, usually you'll be opening the door anyway but best to not need to just in case.

I mounted mine to a Grey Man Tactical panel. This panel also lets me organize a few other important items as well...

Where did you get that molle panel from? I have a fabric one but it sags too much.

Mines in the under seat storage area. Its pretty much always accessible as I leave the rear drivers side seat always up to use the shelf for my tool bags.
