2017 CrewMax tundra non jbl. I am adding a lci7 and a 5channel amp. I was going to remove the factory amp under the passenger seat and use the front and rear speaker input to connect to the LCI7.
When I called audio control they told me to leave the factory amp. Can anyone confirm which way to do it.
    Thank you

Get yourself a wiring harness from ********* or some other source (do a search for amp wiring harness where you will find sources). This will let you tap into the HU outputs which will feed the LC7i. The LC7i then feeds the 5ch amp. The harness will let you tap into the speaker lines which connect to the 5ch output. Yes, the factory amp should come out. You should also consider getting a load generating device and signal stabilizer AC-LGD from Audio Control. It is a set of 2. 1 for Left and 1 for Right channels. These keep the load on the HU constant and stable for the best sound output and they connect between the HU and LC7i. Instructions on how to connect are included. Cost is about $20. I have this set up in my 2017 and am very pleased with the sound. Remember, the dash corner speakers are powered directly by the HU and will not come into play through the harness. Hope this helps......any questions, just ask.

I should add that Sonic Electronix sells the AC-LGD. A little cheaper than directly from Audio Control. Can also be found on ebay.

Thinking about the Audio Control D4 800 amp and bridging the rear channels for the sub.
I know the center channel needs to be unplugged, the corner dash speaker do they stay or go? I plan on running some components up front.

    Thanks

They can stay but most folks disconnect them when running a component setup. If disconnected, a 4 ohm resister rated for at least 10 watts should be connected in place of each speaker to ensure that the HU retains a proper load for those channels.
