They are covers that go right over. Perfect fit. Takes like 2 min.

I’m not sure if there are any other black colors, but here’s a pic of the can I used... no color name, just a matte black lid.
*Dipping the can in warm water (NOT BOILING) really worked for me. The spray came out smooth on every coat. I dipped my can in warm water for 20 mins before each coat. And the more coats the better, it helps if you ever want to remove the plast-dip.*
Here’s a link to a YouTube video that I watched.

Also bought this to attach to the spray can tip.

I used a version of “plastidip” that I got from O’Reilly auto parts and worked well.

It's been a problem for me since owning the truck. I might give it a shot. I'd LOVE to get rid of those huge grey plastic pillars on both sides of the infotainment console

Have fun with that! Looks like quite the chore. But...if going to update your head unit i would do both at the same time.

Yeah, looks like a pita. The SR comes factory with those pillars in black. I may be able to purchase them and swap but I have to dig in a little further

You should be able to if i remember right. But its a lot of involment with tearing down the whole dash and putting back together. Unfortunately its not just that piece that comes out.

This is what I did with mine. Fairly happy with the result. Thank you to those who posted pictures and info on the removal of the trim pieces. Really nice to know where the clips are and pull things apart without breaking anything.

Finally got around to doing this. Matte black spray paint on cup holder surround and the silver around the shifter. I didn’t have the balls to mess with that narrow chrome strip near the gears.

    Aftermarket seat heaters?
I wanted to add some to my rear seats. Are they working well for you?

What the hell is up with that? Usually it's cheaper if you buy something together instead of individual. Lol

Tufskinz has the cup holder replacement piece, more expensive, but you don't have to cut up and drill holes for it.

I think the pricing is $39.99 for the set but $17 less, or $23, for an individual piece.

It's minus $17.00 off total for both. Actual price each is $22.99, it's cheaper to get both at once.
