Oct 18-20: Anza Borrego Trip

On a trip like this would my 2019 4x4 trd sport all stock do this type of trip ok , not make it , or it would do fine or needs some mods or off road model?. 2019 models

I hope to get some sleep between now and Saturday’s fun though. I’m very excited though, which will make sleep challenging. Pretty happy about the push back to 9am meet time.

Most of Anza-Borrego is accessible, especially with 4x4. @sdde4n will lead a group on all-accessible routes. Stock 4x4’s and even 2WD.

Another group will go up Calcite Mine, also doable with a stock 4x4, but might feel intimidating to anyone new to dirt.

A third group are a bunch of crazy mo-fo’s driving trucks that would go anywhere, fast... those guys you shouldn’t follow til you mod up a bit or at least get some experience built up to know your and your truck’s capabilities.

Camp is supposed to be Sheeps Canyon, but I am second guessing it because of how many in our group. We may end up in Clarks Valley

 

I think you'll be fine. A sport model has skids and fairly capable suspension right off the showroom floor. If you haven't added a spacer lift, you should be able to do anything my group is doing. If you're even half interested, come out for the start and see what it's all about. You can bail any time, but I'm willing to bet you'll have a lot of fun. I know of at least three guys from AZ and two from NorCal that'll be there. Truth is, ABDSP isn't "local" for anyone. I'm probably one of the closest and it's still almost 2 hrs for me.

Hey Sam and @Bannock452 .... not sure if this has been asked before but if you redrill new holes will the mount work with a Viair 400?

 

Ok. We already busted a steering rack. There’s only 1 available in the LA area and it’s in Gardena. Is anyone coming from there and can pick it up for us?

 

To my knowledge nobody has tried that. I believe the viair compressor is much taller than the ARB. So might hit the firewall depending on the orientation of the compressor. Worth a shot tho!

 

Damn really. I am not close to Gardena sorry man. I think @Pinay would have been the closet but i thin she is almost to ANza already.
