Swapping out my shitty steel wheels tomorrow for a set of SR5 alum, The stock steel wheels have chrome lug nuts. Can I use these or are the SR5 lugs a different type?

I believe steel wheel lugnuts are different than aluminum mag wheels aluminum lugs look like a top hat steel wheel might be acorns style

I'm not sure if they're interchangeable or not. The aluminum wheels dont have tapered lug seats so I would guess that you'll need new lugs. The lugs for the aluminum wheels look like this... rnb-611-277_xl.jpg

Check out wheeladaptersusa.com. I bought a set of black OE lugs from them a few months ago for about $40. They're a solid lug vs the capped OE lugs and the quality is good.

Yup that’s where I got mine but they were the wrong ones that’s why I said measure the inside of the hole where the shank goes cause my Trd wheels use 22mm and they sent me 19mm they don’t sell 22mm

Thanks, I found high quality lugs on Amazon. If you read the reviews the ones you are showing rust within a year. I paid $14.95 for 4 so it was close to $80, but you get what you pay for. I do not know how to link or import the add on amazon but they are OEM and the only ones on there in sets of 4.

Yeah at $15 bucks each I would have told them to pound sand. Damn lugnuts shouldn't be more than a few bucks each. GFY

Hey guys, I'm in the same boat.

A friend gave me his set of SR5s and I'm now planning to swap my steel rims for the SR5s. Searching through Egay and came across a set of 20pcs for $30. That's a deal! But is it too good to be true? I reviewed Tundra owners' feedback and pretty much everyone (99%) gave him good reviews.

Anyone from here knows if they're legit?

Those look like the right ones being that they are 22mm I purchase the ones on #12 post and didnt notice that they where 19mm they threaded on but the shank was smaller than my oem ones I was told I could use them but feel more secure with the right ones so I still have the wrong ones sitting in my tool box

Good to know. Thanks. I'll bite and let you guys know if they're junk or not.

Also, do any of you guys use wheel locks? Wheel locks can easily be bypassed but just wanted your opinions.

I have the aluminum alloy wheels on my 2013 SR5 and had to buy new lugs bc the Subaru dealership I bought it from in 2018 put the wrong lugs on it after removing the locking lugs that had no key. I replaced them with $30 set from eBay which had correct specs but started to rust in 3 months. I only had to replace 1 lug per wheel and I had a set of 20 so I had 5 years worth of replacing the 4 every spring. So I suggest looking for lugs with good chrome that don’t rust in 3 months. 22 mm is the socket size, the lug is M14 x 1.5. Mc Gard lugs on Rockauto have good chrome- says it won’t rust at all- but don’t have the hat. Anyone replace these lugs without the hat but still M14 x 1.5?
