It rained yesterday and last night so I went for a ride in my Pro. It handled the wet red clay like a champ. At one point after stopping to get a bottle of water, I approached a long steep slope of the slippery red goo. There was a Mustang stuck on the left side of the road. No clue WTH he was thinking. The truck went right up the hill with no drama except I noticed that my traction control light was blinking. After reaching the top, I realized I had forgotten to put it back in 4-Hi before starting the climb. The damn truck made it to the top with no issue. I was impressed with both the traction control and the ridge grapplers that came on the truck. I love this truck!

I have the Auburn Pro LSD and a SC. Pretty bulletproof. I agree, though, that Tundras should have factory locking diffs. Then we could spend money on mods other than Auburns or ARB air lockers. :)

I hate that my tundra is
a “ one wheel wonder “ someday will install an Auburn when $$$ allows

lots of wanted mods above that on the LIST !

time & MONEY- never enough of both !

That was actually the point of my post. The truck did just fine without a locker or true LSD.

glad it worked out for you- haven’t had much of my own “data” with this situation

I’m however very partial to two tire BURNOUTS !!
    ( yea I’m 47 but drive like a 16 year old sometimes)

From the factory should have an E-locker or an LSD with actual clutch packs. I have the ARB locker in the rear. I use that thing more than I ever thought I would.
