2015 Tundra Pro Purchase Help

I've been driving a 2015 Tacoma DCSB TRD off road since new, and love the truck. But looking for some thing a little bigger. My dealer has a 2015 Tundra DCSB Pro, with 110,000 miles. That looks to be in pretty good condition. Asking 29.5K for it. I know my Tacoma like the back of my hand, but know little about the Tundras. Anything special I should look for on this truck and are these as dependable as the Tacoma? Thanks for any advice.

 

Almost $30k for 110k doesn't add up for me. But, you will still have plenty of life in the truck if it was taken care of... Get service records if possible, and Carfax. If those look good, then the $ could be justified.

 

Across the board, Tundras are more reliable than Tacomas.
Also, the 2015 Tundras have less trouble and less recalls than any subsequent years.
Depending on what modifications have been done and how the maintenance has been accomplished this could be a good deal.

 

Does the Tundra Pro NOT have a locking rear differential?
Can't find it in the specs anywhere?

Almost 30K for a truck with 110,000 miles? I know everyone will quote the reliability of the Tundra, but you could get a brand new double cab sr5 for only a few thousand more.

Wow, that's surprising. I would think the Pro and Off Road would, just like the Tacoma's do.

 

Yep, it’s true. Especially disappointing that the Pro doesn’t come with it as a standard feature. On the other hand, the controlled slip system that it has, works really well...

With ATRAC / LSD its really not that big of a deal not having a locker.

Yeah, it’s pretty cool. The effortless way the limited slip rear end does its thing in Moab, is very nice.

 

And utilizing the stock tires! I was actually thoroughly impressed with that entire video! Thank You again sir for sharing! One of the best Tundra videos out there!!
