I filled my truck up at gas station. Said I had 510 miles till empty. Then drove to work which is 34 miles. Got to work and miles to empty said 444 miles left. How is that possible seems like a big drop. I’ve never noticed it drop that much. Any suggestions be great.

it constantly re-calculates based on your driving. and rarely spot on to the mile. it is merely a rough estimate....

Just do the math, it's easy. Comes out to 1.9 miles per gallon.

    Just checking your math here...
Everything looks right except you have the decimal in the wrong place. It's actually .19 mpg, at least on my truck. Lol

So what are the gas tank sizes? Mine only shows a 320 range at fill up.

Well, it does a pretty good job as long as it is just me driving it. Over time it averages out my driving to be more accurate with every fill up. If I spent all of my time driving around town only, then the average would be lower. But, I tend to get on roads that keep me at 55 Mph constantly, so the predicted range is reflecting my driving. When the wife gets into it, well that is a different story.

Bottom line, it will figure out your driving style and represent what you will get over time. Mine tells me I have an average range of 480 miles with the 38 gallon tank. Now, if I could just get out of the land of nearly $5 per gallon.

Mine did that! When I drove it off the lot I got a whopping 545 miles per tank. After about a week of driving and bigger tires I get 433 miles. That's been constant for well over a year now. I get happy when I see the average mpg break 15 hahaha

I tracked mine for about 2-3 weeks. Reset ODO and MPG on every fill up. It was within a couple of tenths every time. Hovering these days at 14.7. With a 70-75MPH speed limit on many roads here it doesn't really go up much on the highway. Seems the 55-60 is a sweet spot before things go south back to the same MPG as city driving

Mine laughs at me because I drive like I stole it.

I look down at how many miles and you can hear it laughing like a 12 year old school girl.

Interesting. I wonder if it ignores a full fuel load on the distance to empty. That would put my mileage based on range at 13mpg whereas I'm well above that.

In my experience, it is how you drive it. Seriously. I bought mine last November, and I consistently fill up showing 565-590 miles depending on how I have driven. When I fill up, I generally have 8-10 gallons left. Light never comes on. I have the 38g tank. I average around 19 to 19.6mpg, sometimes a bit higher. A few times, driving very aggressively for fun, I have gotten a lot lower.

My reads 408 miles to empty. I have a 38 gallon tank. When I drove longer distances and filled up I got 500 to empty. 408 is around town and to work when I drive it.

Ya I have 38 gallon tank also. Ever time I fill up its says 505-510 till empty. I live in small town and I’m always driving back roads. Maybe my truck wasn’t getting enough fuel so it sensors that it needed more idk. Lol I don’t think I should have to worry. No check engine lights are on or nothin soo
