Greetings from the Big Island Hawaii. My 2014 Tundra Crewmax SR5 has developed a habit at 70k miles of not accepting more than 4 gallons at the gas station unless I spend 15 min. slowly clicking away at getting another gallon in... I’m looking for advise from someone who has tackled the problem without taking it to the dealerships. It seems like a floating baffle problem.. your thoughts would be appreciated.. thank you, steve

Oh boy. There are a bunch of threads about a similar issue. I was having a similar problem where the gas nozzle kept clicking like the tank was full, even though the tank was empty. Randomly though, it just went away.

You may have a dirty breather tube (or something like that).

Check other threads. It’s not a cheap repair in certain cases.

    Could be the Evap system...

most likely its the evap system. either purge valve has gone bad, breater clogged or actual charcoal cannister clogged. if its just the valve its not to pricey. if it needs a cannister it gets wild because toyota only sells the complete package. pretty straight forward project for a diy type person.

Are you in the habit of topping off? If so I'd say evap, specifically the charcoal canister. If not, you may have a stuck inertia or "roll over" valve. In my case it was the inertia valve. If you're able to pump the first 4 gallons w/o having the pump click on and off the issue is not the inertia valve.
